Lattafa Angham is a warm, dessert-leaning vanilla held upright by lavender — a spiced mandarin-and-ginger start, a cocoa and praline heart, and a soft amber-musk finish that wears close to the skin. The lavender is what stops it tipping into pure sweetness. 100ml Eau de Parfum, £21.99, with free UK delivery.

Lattafa Angham: Lavender Folded Into Cocoa and Vanilla

Angham — the Arabic word for melodies — is Lattafa’s 2024 answer to a question a lot of people have been asking: can a vanilla fragrance be comforting without smelling like a bakery? The answer here is lavender. It sits right in the middle of the composition, cutting through cocoa and praline so the sweetness reads grown-up rather than sugary. Around it, mandarin, ginger and pink pepper give the opening a gentle spiced lift, and a base of vanilla, amber and musk settles the whole thing into a soft, warm skin scent. It is one of the most talked-about launches in the Lattafa perfumes range for good reason — and at under £22 for a full 100ml, it is also one of the easiest to try.

The Scent Profile

Top — mandarin, ginger, pink pepper. A quiet opening by design. Mandarin gives a soft, rounded citrus rather than a sharp one, while ginger and pink pepper add a faint prickle of warmth. None of it lingers long; the job of these first minutes is to set the temperature, and they set it warm.

Heart — lavender, cacao, praline, jasmine. This is the fragrance. Lavender brings an aromatic, slightly herbal clarity, and it is placed against cacao and praline so that the two pull against each other — cocoa-dusted and nutty on one side, clean and upright on the other. Jasmine is a supporting thread, rounding the edges rather than making the scent floral. If you have found gourmands too sticky in the past, this is the section that may change your mind.

Base — vanilla, amber, musk. Where Angham spends most of its wear. Vanilla carries it, amber gives a golden warmth, and musk softens everything into something close and cosy. By this point the lavender has faded back and the scent reads as a smooth, sweet skin vanilla.

How Angham Compares to Burberry Goddess

Lattafa has not named any inspiration for Angham, so this is not a manufacturer claim. What we can say is that Fragrantica reviewers often compare it to Burberry Goddess, and it is by far the most frequent comparison on its Fragrantica page. The reason is easy to see on paper: Fragrantica lists vanilla, lavender, cacao and ginger for Goddess, and all four appear in Angham.

Where they differ is everything Angham adds on top. Goddess is built as a study in vanilla with lavender alongside; Angham layers in praline, jasmine, amber, mandarin and pink pepper, which makes it sweeter, nuttier and more rounded. If Goddess already sits at the edge of the sweetness you enjoy, expect Angham to go past it. If you have ever wished Goddess were a little cosier, that extra praline is the point. Reviewers also mention YSL Libre and D&G Devotion in passing, but the Burberry comparison is the one that comes up again and again.

Lattafa Perfumes is an independent UAE fragrance house with no affiliation to, licence from, or endorsement by Burberry or any other brand named here. We name Goddess only to help you place the style.

Lattafa Angham Performance & When To Wear

Performance at a Glance
A qualitative read of Fragrantica reviewer reports — not our own figures, see the sourcing note below
LONGEVITY · reports vary widely on skin; consistently longer on fabric
SILLAGE · moderate early on, then a close skin scent
OFFICE SAFE · yes, with two sprays
VERSATILITY · happiest in cooler months, day or evening
BEST SEASONS
Autumn ●●●Winter ●●●Spring ●●○Summer ●○○

We are not going to give you an hour figure, because the evidence does not support a single one. Across Angham’s Fragrantica reviews, reported skin longevity ranges from a few hours to most of a working day, and the one thing wearers agree on is that it lasts much longer on clothing — often into the next day. Several reviewers also say performance improves once a new bottle has rested for a few weeks, which is common with Lattafa. Projection is typically described as noticeable for the first stretch, then settling into an intimate vanilla close to the skin.

Fragrantica’s community leans towards autumn and winter for this one, and that matches the composition: praline and vanilla bloom in cool air and can feel heavy in high summer. It is soft enough for an office with a light hand, and warm enough for evenings, dinners and weekends.

Who It’s For

Angham is for anyone who loves vanilla but wants it with structure. Lattafa lists it for women, Fragrantica files it as unisex, and the lavender genuinely makes it easy for men to wear too — it lands wherever your skin takes it. It is a strong first Lattafa for someone who already enjoys designer gourmands and wants to see what the house does, and it makes a very safe gift for anyone whose bathroom shelf already leans sweet.

Two or three sprays is plenty. Because the drydown is soft, a spray on a scarf or jumper collar is the simplest way to stretch it through the day.

How It Compares With the Other Houses We Stock

If the praline-and-vanilla side of Angham is what draws you, Bujairami Legacy shares both notes but takes them somewhere smokier: cinnamon and cardamom up top, elemi and guaiac wood underneath, and an Extrait concentration at £49.99. Legacy has no lavender or cocoa, so it reads spicier and drier where Angham reads softer and more edible.

If it is the lavender you want more of, Khadlaj Azure Velvet puts lavender front and centre with bergamot and mint, over a powdery, incense-tinged base, at £24.99. It is the fresher, cleaner cousin — no cocoa, no praline, very little sweetness — and a good contrast if you are deciding how gourmand you actually want to go.

Angham’s Second Song

Angham has one sibling in the Lattafa Angham line, and the two share a vanilla base while telling quite different stories. Angham Second Song (£24.99) replaces the lavender and cacao with pear blossom and peony, so it reads lighter and more floral, a natural fit for spring and summer days. The original Angham, with its lavender and cacao, is the cosier pick once the evenings draw in.

Lattafa Angham FAQs

What does Lattafa Angham smell like?

Warm, sweet and cosy, with a clean aromatic thread. It opens with soft mandarin and a little ginger spice, moves into lavender wrapped around cocoa and praline, then settles into vanilla, amber and musk. Think a cocoa-dusted vanilla dessert with a sprig of lavender on top — sweet, but not childish.

What are the full Lattafa Angham notes?

Top — mandarin, ginger, pink pepper; heart — lavender, cacao, praline, jasmine; base — vanilla, amber, musk. That is the Fragrantica pyramid. Lattafa’s own site lists the same notes but leaves out jasmine; we have kept it because it is part of the published Fragrantica listing and it does soften the heart.

Is Lattafa Angham a Burberry Goddess dupe?

Lattafa does not market it as one. Fragrantica reviewers often compare the two because they share lavender, vanilla, cacao and ginger. Angham adds praline, jasmine and amber, so it is sweeter and richer — related, not identical. Lattafa has no affiliation with Burberry.

How long does Angham last?

Fragrantica reviewer reports vary a lot — from a few hours to most of the day on skin — but almost everyone finds it lasts far longer on clothes. Many also say a fresh bottle performs better after a few weeks’ rest. Expect a close, comforting scent rather than a room-filler.

Is Angham for women or unisex?

Lattafa lists it for women; Fragrantica classes it as unisex. The lavender makes it very wearable for men, and plenty of people treat it as shared.

How much is Lattafa Angham in the UK?

£21.99 for the 100ml Eau de Parfum at Khaleej Scents, with free UK delivery and no minimum spend — about 22p per millilitre.

Is Angham the same as Angham Second Song?

No. They share a name and a praline-vanilla thread, but Second Song swaps lavender and cocoa for pear blossom, peony and orange blossom, making it brighter and more suited to warm-weather daytime. Angham is the darker, cosier original.

Notes verified against Fragrantica and lattafa.com in September 2026; the two agree except that lattafa.com omits jasmine, which we have kept from Fragrantica. Launch year (2024) is from Fragrantica; no perfumer is credited there. The Burberry Goddess comparison reflects Fragrantica reviewer discussion, not a Lattafa claim, and Goddess’s notes are taken from its Fragrantica listing.
