Lattafa Hayaati is the easy-going original in the black bottle. Crisp apple and bergamot open it, cinnamon and soft woods warm it up, and clean musk with a little vanilla finishes it. It’s fresh, sweet and uncomplicated, and at this price it makes a good first Arabian fragrance. 100ml Eau de Parfum, £14.99, free UK delivery.

Lattafa Hayaati: Crisp Apple, Warm Cinnamon, Clean Musk

Hayaati is proof that a six-note fragrance can still do a lot of work. It opens on crisp apple with bergamot. The effect is bright and juicy, a bit like a sweet, clean shower gel. Cinnamon arrives next, with enough warmth and bite to stop the apple turning into shampoo, and a soft woody accord gives it shape. It then settles into a clean musk with just enough vanilla to keep it warm on the skin. Hayaati launched in 2020, comes in the black bottle, and is the original fragrance of a line that has since grown to include Al Maleky, Gold Elixir and Florence. It’s one of the cheapest bottles in our Lattafa perfumes range, and still one of the most versatile.

The Scent Profile

Top — apple, bergamot. The opening is fresh and fruity rather than sharp. The apple is crisp and green-edged, and bergamot adds brightness. Fragrantica’s accord chart leads with fruity, and plenty of reviewers call this stage sweet or bubblegum-like. On a brand-new bottle it can smell a little synthetic for the first few minutes.

Heart — cinnamon, woody notes. This is the part that gives Hayaati its character. The cinnamon isn’t a Christmas-cake spice. It’s a dry warmth that makes the fruit read more grown-up, and the woods keep everything upright. It’s the difference between a teenage body spray and something you’d actually wear to work.

Base — musk, vanilla. The drydown is soft, clean and slightly powdery. Musk gives the fresh-laundry feel and vanilla adds a touch of warmth. It isn’t complex, but it’s pleasant and it stays close.

How Hayaati Compares — the Honest Version

Lattafa doesn’t state an inspiration for Hayaati. On Fragrantica, the comparison reviewers make most often is Paco Rabanne Invictus, with Rasasi Hawas a close second. Some also mention JPG 1 Million, Versace Eros and Azzaro Wanted. That spread is useful in itself: when five different references come up, you’re looking at a style (fresh, fruity, lightly spiced and sweet) rather than a targeted copy. Compared with Invictus, Hayaati swaps the marine-and-grapefruit freshness for apple and cinnamon and finishes softer and more musky. Buy it if you like that family, but don’t expect a note-for-note match with any one of them.

Across more than 200 reviews, Fragrantica reviewers generally describe Hayaati’s performance as strong for a fragrance at this price. Several also say it improves noticeably after the bottle has rested for a few weeks. We couldn’t retrieve the page’s formal longevity and sillage vote breakdown, so treat the bars as a qualitative summary rather than a score.

It’s at its best in spring and autumn and on cooler summer evenings. It’s easy enough for the office at two sprays, casual enough for the weekend and lively enough for a night out, which is exactly why people keep coming back to it.

Who It’s For

Hayaati is for anyone who wants one easy bottle that covers most of the week, and it’s an especially good first purchase if you’re new to Arabian perfumery. It’s officially unisex, since Lattafa and Fragrantica both list it for women and men, but most people wear it as a masculine fresh-spicy scent. It isn’t for you if you want something unusual or niche. Hayaati is deliberately familiar.

How It Compares With the Other Houses We Stock

If you like the fresh-to-warm arc, Khadlaj Titan (£24.99) is the step up. Titan opens on mandarin, grapefruit and pink pepper, then adds lavender, incense and suede before an amber-vanilla-tonka base. It’s richer, smokier and better suited to colder months. Hayaati is the lighter, fruitier daytime option.

For something cleaner and more modern, Arabiyat Prestige La Di Da For Him (£39.99) goes grapefruit and geranium over black pepper and tonka, finishing on ambergris, vanilla and musk. It shares Hayaati’s musk-vanilla landing but swaps the apple and cinnamon for citrus and pepper, and it wears a little more grown-up.

Apple is Hayaati’s calling card, and Lattafa Jasoor (£19.99) is the grown-up version. It adds tobacco and lavender to the apple, so it’s darker and better suited to autumn nights. Lattafa Fakhar (£20.00) goes apple, lavender and tonka, which makes it smoother and more barbershop than Hayaati’s cinnamon warmth. For the apple and cinnamon pairing in a sweeter, richer form, Lattafa Khamrah (£22.99) trades the apple for dates and praline alongside cinnamon, a proper winter gourmand. Lattafa Hayaati FAQs

What does Lattafa Hayaati smell like?

Crisp apple and bergamot, then warm cinnamon and soft woods, finishing on clean musk and a little vanilla. It’s fresh and fruity at first, then warmer and gently spiced.

What are the full Hayaati notes?

Top: apple, bergamot. Heart: cinnamon, woody notes. Base: musk, vanilla. Fragrantica and lattafa.com agree, with Lattafa calling the cinnamon “cinnamon bark”. Listings with more notes than this have been padded.

Is Lattafa Hayaati a dupe of Invictus?

It’s the comparison Fragrantica reviewers make most often, followed by Rasasi Hawas, but Lattafa makes no official claim. Hayaati shares the fresh-fruity-sweet style while using apple and cinnamon rather than Invictus’s marine-grapefruit accord, so it’s a relative rather than a clone. Lattafa has no affiliation with Paco Rabanne.

How long does Hayaati last?

Fragrantica reviewers generally describe its performance as strong for the price, and several say a rested bottle performs better than a fresh one. It lasts longer on clothing than on skin.

Is Hayaati for men or women?

Lattafa and Fragrantica list it for women and men. In practice it’s worn mostly by men, but nothing in apple, cinnamon and musk is gender-specific.

How much is Lattafa Hayaati in the UK?

£14.99 for 100ml at Khaleej Scents, with free UK delivery and no minimum spend.

Is Hayaati the same as Hayaati Black, Al Maleky or Gold Elixir?

“Hayaati Black” is simply this fragrance, named after its black bottle. Al Maleky and Gold Elixir are separate fragrances in the same line with different notes, so check the full name before you order.

Notes verified against Fragrantica and lattafa.com in September 2026. Both list the same six-note pyramid. The launch year (2020) is taken from Fragrantica; no perfumer is credited. Comparisons come from Fragrantica reviewers and are not a manufacturer claim. We could not retrieve Fragrantica’s formal longevity and sillage vote breakdown, so the performance section summarises reviewer reports qualitatively. Written by Shaheen Shah Abrar, Khaleej Scents.
