Honor and Glory (often spelt Honour and Glory in the UK) is a dessert with a spice rack: caramelised pineapple and crème brûlée up top, cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper through the middle, then vanilla, sandalwood and cashmeran for a soft, woody finish. Sweet, warm and polarising in the best way. 100ml Eau de Parfum, £19.99, free UK delivery.

Lattafa Honor and Glory: Pineapple Brûlée With a Kick of Spice

Honor and Glory is the gourmand of Lattafa’s Bade’e Al Oud line — and, like Sublime, it contains no oud to speak of. Released in 2023, it opens on pineapple that has been caramelised rather than freshly cut, laid over a crème brûlée accord, and then does something unusual for a sweet fragrance: it turns spicy. Cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper give the middle a warm, almost savoury bite before a creamy vanilla and sandalwood base takes over. You will see it written as Honor, Honour, and with an ampersand; it is the same bottle. Among the Lattafa perfumes we carry, this is the sweetest of the Bade’e Al Oud four.

The Scent Profile

Top — pineapple, crème brûlée. Lattafa’s own site merges these into a single “pineapple brûlée” note, which is a fair description. The fruit is juicy but cooked, with a burnt-sugar crust rather than a sharp tropical tang. It is loud in the first half hour.

Heart — cinnamon, turmeric, black pepper, benzoin. This is the part that stops it being a sweet shop. Cinnamon brings bakery warmth, turmeric an earthy, faintly bitter golden note, and black pepper a dry crackle. Benzoin, a vanilla-scented resin, ties the spice back to the dessert theme.

Base — vanilla, sandalwood, cashmeran, moss. A soft, creamy woody finish. Cashmeran gives a musky, slightly dusty warmth; sandalwood adds creaminess; moss is a quiet green shadow in the background. The dry-down is noticeably more restrained than the opening.

How It Compares — the Honest Version

Lattafa does not name an inspiration, and here the community does not agree on one either. Fragrantica reviewers reach for a scattering of references — Versace Eros Flame, Nishane Hacivat for the pineapple opening, even YSL Y — but none of these is a consensus, and none shares the crème brûlée and turmeric heart that defines Honor and Glory. Our honest reading is that there is no credible single dupe target: it is best treated as an original gourmand that borrows a familiar pineapple opening. If a listing calls it a clone of any one designer fragrance, be sceptical.

Lattafa has no affiliation with, licence from or endorsement by Versace, Nishane, YSL or any other brand named here.

Honor and Glory Performance & When To Wear

Summarised from Fragrantica community reports (8,000+ ratings) — see the sourcing note below
LONGEVITY · long lasting for most reviewers
SILLAGE · strong for the first hour or two, then intimate
OFFICE SAFE · a single spray, and not in a small room
VERSATILITY · cooler months; too heavy in summer heat
BEST SEASONS

Fragrantica voters mostly describe medium-to-strong projection for the first hour or two, settling into a close, creamy skin scent that carries on for much of the day. Many reviewers also say the opening improves noticeably after a month or more of maceration, when the pineapple becomes less sharp and the brûlée more rounded. We have not attached an hour figure, because the reports are too varied to justify one.

Reviewers are fairly united on season: it is a cold-weather fragrance, and several describe it as cloying in summer heat. Autumn evenings, winter weekends and cosy occasions suit it best.

Who It’s For

This is for someone who enjoys sweet, dessert-like fragrances but wants something with more warmth and edge than pure vanilla. Lattafa sells it as unisex; Fragrantica reviewers lean slightly feminine, but the spice heart wears comfortably on anyone. It is genuinely polarising — the same reviews that call it addictive also call the opening synthetic — so it is worth knowing you like sweet gourmands before buying blind.

How It Compares With the Other Houses We Stock

Pineapple lovers should look at Reef Arabs of Obaiah (£74.99), which takes the same fruit in a completely different direction: juicy rather than caramelised, then straight into supple leather and a deep oud base. Obaiah is the darker, more expensive statement; Honor and Glory is the sweeter, cosier one. For a gourmand that stays purely sweet without the spice, Khadlaj Cloud Candy (£24.99) trades pineapple for strawberry, marshmallow and whipped cream — lighter, pinker and softer in projection.

Other Bottles From the Same Line

Honor and Glory sits at the sweet end of its range, and each of its siblings takes a different path. For something crisper, Sublime (£19.99) opens on apple and lychee over moss, which makes it the easier pick for warm spring afternoons. Amethyst (£19.99) sets rose against oud and amber, a floral-woody scent for date nights in the cooler months. And if you want the line at its most intense, Oud for Glory (£19.49) delivers saffron, oud and patchouli with no sweetness at all, best kept for winter. The full range lives on our Bade’e Al Oud page.

Lattafa Honor and Glory FAQs

What does Lattafa Honor and Glory smell like?

Caramelised pineapple and crème brûlée, turning warm and spicy with cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper, then drying down to creamy vanilla, sandalwood and cashmeran. Sweet, warm and dessert-like, with more bite than most gourmands.

What are the full Honor and Glory notes?

Top: pineapple, crème brûlée. Heart: cinnamon, turmeric, black pepper, benzoin. Base: vanilla, sandalwood, cashmeran, moss. Fragrantica and lattafa.com agree; Lattafa simply combines the top into a single “pineapple brûlée” note.

Is Honor and Glory a dupe of anything?

Not credibly. Fragrantica reviewers mention Versace Eros Flame, Nishane Hacivat and others in passing, but there is no consensus and none shares its crème brûlée and turmeric heart. Lattafa names no inspiration. We treat it as an original. Lattafa has no affiliation with any brand named here.

Is it “Honor” or “Honour” and Glory?

Both refer to the same fragrance. The bottle uses the American spelling, “Honor”; many UK shoppers search for “Honour”. It is also written “Honor & Glory”.

How long does Honor and Glory last?

Fragrantica voters mostly report strong projection for the first hour or two and a creamy skin scent for much of the day after. Many find it improves after a month or more of maceration. We do not quote a single hour figure.

Is Honor and Glory unisex?

Yes, Lattafa sells it as unisex. Reviewers lean slightly feminine because of the sweetness, but the spice keeps it wearable for anyone.

How much is Honor and Glory in the UK?

£19.99 for the 100ml Eau de Parfum at Khaleej Scents, with free UK delivery and no minimum spend.

Notes verified against Fragrantica and lattafa.com in September 2026; the two pyramids agree. No manufacturer-stated inspiration exists and reviewer comparisons are scattered, so we have not assigned a dupe. Performance is summarised from Fragrantica community reports, not our own testing.
