Lattafa Affection: Pistachio Gelato with a Raspberry Ripple
Affection smells like a very good dessert counter. The first thing you notice is pistachio, green, nutty and slightly salty, with hazelnut deepening it and a flash of blackcurrant keeping it from turning heavy. Then raspberry comes through the middle, pink and juicy, carried on a milky, lactonic cream that gives the whole thing an ice-cream texture. Jasmine and lily of the valley add just enough floral lift to stop it being purely edible. It dries down to warm vanilla and tonka. It’s a 2024 Lattafa Pride release and the most dessert-like of the Lattafa perfumes we stock.
The Scent Profile
Top — pistachio, hazelnut, blackcurrant. The nut accord is what makes Affection distinctive. Pistachio is creamy and faintly savoury, and hazelnut adds a toasted, praline warmth. The blackcurrant, listed by Lattafa as cassis buds, gives a sharp, slightly green tartness that brightens the opening and makes it read fresh rather than dense.
Heart — raspberry, jasmine, lily of the valley, lactones. The raspberry turns the fragrance pink and juicy. Lactones are the molecules behind milky, creamy textures in perfume, and here they make the fruit feel like it’s been folded into cream. Jasmine and lily of the valley are soft and clean, lifting the heart so it doesn’t collapse into sugar.
Base — vanilla, tonka bean, lactones. Smooth and comforting. Vanilla gives the sweetness, tonka adds an almond-like warmth, and the lingering creaminess keeps the finish soft and close to the skin.
How Affection Compares — the Honest Version
Lattafa doesn’t name an inspiration and presents Affection as its own Pride composition. The comparison comes from the community: on Fragrantica, reviewers often compare it to Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33, and many treat it as an affordable alternative to that fragrance. Paris Corner Khair Pistachio also comes up.
The shared ground is obvious: pistachio, creamy lactones and vanilla. Affection sets itself apart with a stronger raspberry and blackcurrant fruit layer, plus the hazelnut and white florals, which make it a little fruitier and more layered. If you want the Kayali experience exactly, expect a sibling rather than a twin. If you like the pistachio-gelato style and want a larger bottle for less, it’s a strong option. We won’t put a percentage on it.

Performance & When To Wear
We couldn’t read Fragrantica’s longevity and sillage vote counts for Affection, so we won’t quote any. The written reviews there broadly agree: moderate wear on skin, noticeably longer on clothing, and a sillage that’s present early on before settling into a cosy, close scent. The bars above show that in broad terms. They are not measurements. Spraying a scarf or jumper is the easy way to make it last.
Reviewers on Fragrantica favour it for autumn, winter and spring, and several find it too heavy for peak summer heat. It works day or evening, and it suits relaxed, comfortable occasions better than formal ones.
Who It’s For
Affection is for gourmand lovers who want something with more texture than a plain vanilla. The nuts and the tart fruit make it more interesting than a sugary sweet scent. Lattafa lists it as unisex and Fragrantica agrees. The raspberry and cream lean slightly feminine, but the roasted pistachio and tonka make it easy for anyone to wear.
How It Compares with the Other Houses We Stock
If you like the creamy dessert idea, Khadlaj Cream Velvet (£29.99) is the nearest in spirit. It goes for buttery caramel, honey, jasmine and tonka over amber and vanilla, so it’s warmer and more patisserie-like, with no fruit. Affection is the lighter, nuttier, fruitier of the two. For a nutty coconut-vanilla with a powdery edge, Khadlaj Fursan White (£19.99) pairs coconut, musk and almond over vanilla and cedarwood. It’s more powdery and less sweet than Affection.
Sweet Picks for Fans of Affection
Petra Viola (Pride) (£39.99) shares Affection’s raspberry but adds violet and cotton candy, more floral and sugary than pistachio. Yara Elixir (£21.99) swaps raspberry for strawberry and joins caramel to the vanilla, a sweeter gourmand. For a darker fruit-and-vanilla blend, Mayar Cherry Intense (£18.99) layers cherry jam and cacao, ideal for cooler evenings. There’s more to explore in our Lattafa perfumes collection.
Price, Size & What You Get
Affection comes as a 100ml Eau de Parfum at £24.99, or 25p per millilitre, a fraction of what the pistachio-gelato style usually costs from designer and niche houses.

Lattafa Affection FAQs
What does Lattafa Affection smell like?
Roasted pistachio and hazelnut with a tart blackcurrant edge, then juicy raspberry in a milky, creamy heart with soft white florals, drying down to vanilla and tonka. Think pistachio gelato with a raspberry ripple.
What are the full Affection notes?
Top: pistachio, hazelnut, blackcurrant (cassis buds). Heart: raspberry, jasmine, lily of the valley, lactones. Base: vanilla, tonka bean, lactones. Fragrantica and Lattafa agree, except that Fragrantica also lists lactones in the base.
Is Affection a dupe of Kayali Pistachio Gelato?
Lattafa doesn’t make that claim, but Fragrantica reviewers often compare the two and treat Affection as an affordable alternative. Both share pistachio, cream and vanilla. Affection adds more raspberry, blackcurrant and hazelnut, so it’s a close relative rather than an identical copy. Lattafa has no affiliation with Kayali.
How long does Affection last?
Fragrantica reviews suggest moderate longevity on skin, with much longer wear on clothing. We haven’t been able to read the vote breakdown, so we won’t give an hour figure. Spray fabric for the longest trail.
Is Affection for men or women?
Both. Lattafa and Fragrantica list it as unisex. It leans slightly sweet and feminine, but the roasted nuts keep it balanced.
How much is Lattafa Affection in the UK?
£24.99 for the 100ml Eau de Parfum at Khaleej Scents, with free UK delivery and no minimum spend.
What is Lattafa Pride?
Pride is Lattafa’s premium sub-line, with heavier presentation and richer compositions than the core range. Affection is one of its gourmand releases.
Notes verified against Fragrantica and lattafa.com in September 2026. The two agree on the pyramid; Fragrantica also lists lactones in the base, and “cassis buds” and “black currant” are the same note. Fragrantica gives a 2024 launch with no perfumer credited. The Kayali comparison comes from Fragrantica’s community reviews, not from Lattafa. Performance comments summarise Fragrantica reviews, because the vote breakdown wasn’t available to us in readable form. Written by Shaheen Shah Abrar, Khaleej Scents.
