Asdaaf Sugar Crown: Candied Fruit and Spun Sugar
Sugar Crown comes from Asdaaf, Lattafa’s sister house, which sits under the same group and makes lower-priced Arabian fragrances. You will find it with the rest of the range under Asdaaf by Lattafa within our Lattafa perfumes collection. Released in 2025, it belongs to the Ameerat Al Arab line — the name means “Princess of the Arabs” — and it is the sweetest member of that family. Candied orange and pear open it, cotton candy dominates the middle, and a creamy vanilla-tonka base closes it out. If you like your fragrances edible, this is aimed squarely at you.
The Scent Profile
Top — candied orange, pear. The orange is sugared rather than zesty, closer to a boiled sweet than to fresh peel, and pear softens it with a juicy, rounded fruitiness. It is bright without being sharp.
Heart — jasmine, cotton candy. Cotton candy is the headline: airy, pink and fairground-sweet. Jasmine sits quietly underneath to keep it recognisably a perfume rather than a confectionery scent, but make no mistake, the sugar leads.
Base — vanilla cream, labdanum, tonka bean, patchouli. The dry-down turns creamy and warm. Vanilla and tonka give a soft, almondy sweetness, labdanum adds an ambery, slightly leathery depth, and patchouli gives a touch of earth so the finish does not go completely flat.
How It Compares — the Honest Version
Neither Asdaaf nor Lattafa names an inspiration for Sugar Crown. On Fragrantica, reviewers most often compare it to Valentino Donna Born in Roma and to other sweet vanilla-fruit fragrances in that style, and a few liken it to Lattafa’s own Khair Confection. Treat these with caution: the Fragrantica page has only a small number of votes and reviews, and the pyramid it lists is quite different from the one Lattafa publishes, so reviewers may not all be describing the same formulation. The honest summary is that it lives in the popular sweet-gourmand family rather than tracking any single designer fragrance closely.
Asdaaf and Lattafa have no affiliation with, licence from or endorsement by Valentino or any other brand named here.
Sugar Crown Performance & When To Wear
Performance data on Sugar Crown is limited, and we would rather say so than fill the gap. The Fragrantica page has fewer than a hundred votes and only a handful of reviews; those who comment on performance describe moderate wear, with some reporting that it fades after two or three hours — weaker than several comparable sweet fragrances. That is a small sample and it may change as more people wear it, but if longevity is a priority, plan on spraying clothing and possibly reapplying.
Sweet gourmands suit cooler weather best, where the vanilla has room to bloom without going sticky. Casual days, weekends, cosy evenings and gifting are the natural fit.
Who It’s For
Sugar Crown is marketed for women and wears as a playful, youthful gourmand. It is for someone who already knows they love candyfloss, vanilla and candied-fruit scents and wants an inexpensive bottle in that style. If sweetness makes you wince, nothing here will change your mind. It also makes an easy gift for a sweet-tooth — the profile is simple to like and the price keeps it low-risk.
How It Compares With the Other Houses We Stock
The closest match on our shelves is Khadlaj Cloud Candy (£24.99), which works the same fairground-sweet territory with strawberry, marshmallow and whipped cream over vanilla and white musk. Cloud Candy is pinker and more berry-led; Sugar Crown is more citrus-and-pear at the top and creamier, more ambery at the base thanks to its labdanum and tonka. If you want sweetness balanced by more freshness, Khadlaj Ria (£24.99) goes red fruits over grapefruit and musk — fizzier and less sugary.
More From Asdaaf
Sugar Crown is one of three Asdaaf bottles we carry from Lattafa’s sister house, and the other two show how differently the range can go. Ameerat Al Arab Prive Rose (£13.99) shares the name but trades candied orange and cotton candy for strawberry, rose and sandalwood, a softer floral pick for spring. Ameer Al Arab (£16.99) moves away from sweetness altogether, with cardamom, lavender and saffron for cooler days and evenings. See every bottle on our Asdaaf perfumes page.

Asdaaf Sugar Crown FAQs
What does Asdaaf Sugar Crown smell like?
Candied orange and juicy pear, then fluffy cotton candy with a hint of jasmine, drying down to creamy vanilla, tonka and labdanum with a touch of patchouli. Sweet, sugary and dessert-like.
What are the full Sugar Crown notes?
As published on Lattafa’s own store: top — candied orange, pear; heart — jasmine, cotton candy; base — vanilla cream, labdanum, tonka bean, patchouli. Fragrantica lists a very different pyramid (bitter orange, lemon and candied fruits; blueberry, peach, ginger, bubble gum, Bulgarian rose and cinnamon; ambroxan, musk and cedar). The two share little beyond orange and a candy-sweet theme. We have used the manufacturer’s list, because it comes from the brand and matches UK retailer listings; the Fragrantica entry has very few votes and may reflect a different batch or an early listing.
Is Sugar Crown a dupe of anything?
Fragrantica reviewers compare it most often to Valentino Donna Born in Roma, but the sample is small and neither Asdaaf nor Lattafa makes any such claim. We would call it a sweet gourmand in a popular style rather than a close copy. Asdaaf has no affiliation with Valentino.
Who makes Asdaaf?
Asdaaf is Lattafa’s sister house — part of the same UAE group — and focuses on lower-priced Arabian fragrances, including the Ameer Al Arab and Ameerat Al Arab ranges.
How long does Sugar Crown last?
The limited community data suggests moderate wear, with some reviewers reporting only two to three hours. That is a small sample, so treat it as provisional. Spraying clothing will help.
Is Sugar Crown for women?
Asdaaf markets it for women, and Fragrantica lists it as a women’s fragrance. Anyone who loves sweet gourmands can wear it.
How much is Sugar Crown in the UK?
£16.99 for the 100ml Eau de Parfum at Khaleej Scents, with free UK delivery and no minimum spend.
Notes verified against Fragrantica and Lattafa’s official store in September 2026. The two pyramids disagree substantially; we have used the manufacturer’s, which UK retailers match, and set out Fragrantica’s above. Community performance data is limited to under 100 Fragrantica votes and is presented as provisional; none of it is our own testing. Written by Shaheen Shah Abrar, Khaleej Scents.
