Riiffs Elyssia Aura — Mulled Spice, Cognac and Cocoa, Worn Close
Orange · Cinnamon · Nutmeg · Vanilla Cream · Cognac · Cocoa · Bourbon Vanilla · Cedarwood · Patchouli — 100ml Extrait de Parfum, 100% authentic, free UK delivery.
Elyssia Aura opens hot and edible. Cinnamon arrives first — dry and woody rather than sugared — with orange peel cutting across it and nutmeg just behind, closer to mulled wine than to anything fresh. The heart is where it makes its case: cognac gives a boozy, slightly sour warmth, cocoa adds bitterness and body, and vanilla cream binds the two into something thick and dessert-like. The drydown is bourbon vanilla over cedarwood and patchouli, which pulls the sweetness back to earth.
It is Riiffs’ own idea, not a stated copy of anything. Riiffs names no inspiration for Aura on its UAE or US stores. The one designer comparison you will find online — Dior’s Vanilla Diorama — comes from a single reviewer, and we set out below exactly how far the two overlap and where they part company.
Aura is one half of a two-bottle line. Its sibling, Elyssia Scarlet, is black cherry and leather; Aura is the spiced, boozy, chocolate-adjacent one, and the softer of the pair.
The Scent Pyramid at a Glance
Nine notes across three tiers, as Riiffs lists them on its UAE store. Fragrantica’s listing agrees, with one cosmetic difference: it splits “vanilla cream” into two separate notes, vanilla and cream.
Spice-forward and quite sharp. The cinnamon is the dry, hot, faintly red kind rather than powdery pastry, and it leads. Orange keeps the first minutes from smelling like a spice jar; nutmeg reads as texture more than as a note of its own.
This is the fragrance. Cognac brings a fermented, boozy sweetness with a sour edge that stops the cocoa going flat and chalky. The cocoa is dusty cacao rather than milk chocolate, and vanilla cream ties booze and bitterness into a dessert rather than a list of ingredients.
Bourbon vanilla, rich and slightly rummy; cedarwood, dry and pencil-shaving clean; and a modern, earthy patchouli without the damp, camphor edge. They anchor the sweetness rather than develop it, so the late stage is a warm vanilla-wood skin scent.

Elyssia Aura vs Dior Vanilla Diorama — What Actually Overlaps
The comparison comes from one place: Mona Mostafa’s review for I Fragrance, which says the cognac brought “slight flashbacks of how Vanilla Diorama by Dior smelled”, “dense and rich with a subtle fruity undertone”. Riiffs has never made the claim. Put the two published pyramids side by side and four of Diorama’s nine notes appear in Aura.

Same family, different fragrance. Buy Aura for itself, not as a stand-in for Dior.
How close is it, really? Family resemblance, not a copy. Both build orange over cocoa over bourbon vanilla and both are creamy rather than sugary. But Aura’s spice is hot cinnamon and nutmeg against Diorama’s green cardamom and pink pepper, its booze is drier cognac against sweeter rum, and its wood is dry cedar against milky sandalwood — which changes the whole drydown. Anyone who knows Vanilla Diorama well will tell them apart immediately. Riiffs has no affiliation with Christian Dior; the comparison is here only to help you place the scent.
Performance — What We Know, and What We Don’t
We publish hour figures only when wearers have reported them in useful numbers. For Aura they haven’t yet: two Fragrantica reviewers mention eight hours or more, and Mona Mostafa at I Fragrance reported 12–14 hours on fabric and softer projection than Elyssia Scarlet. Those are individual reports, not a consensus, so there is no hours number on this page.
Wear it in autumn and winter, in the evening, in cool air — heat inflates the cinnamon and can make the cocoa cloying. It is sweet and spiced, so it is not an office scent; think dinner, a winter night out or a long evening indoors.

Good to Know Before You Buy
- Give it twenty minutes. The cinnamon opening is the sharpest part; judge Aura once the cognac and cocoa arrive, not at first spray.
- Cold weather only, realistically. Spice, cocoa and vanilla open up in cool air and turn heavy in summer heat.
- Try a spray on fabric. A scarf or coat collar softens the cinnamon and holds the vanilla well.
- Opinions are split. Fragrantica reviewers range from “beautiful sophisticated vanilla” to finding a fizzy or rubbery edge in the opening. The 3.84 / 5 from 51 votes reflects that.
- Riiffs’ own labelling is inconsistent. Its UAE store files Aura as female and tags it “Floral, Fresh”; there is no floral note in the pyramid. Fragrantica lists it as unisex, which is how we sell it.
Why Buy Elyssia Aura From Khaleej Scents
Every bottle is genuine Riiffs, sourced from authorised distribution and never refilled or repackaged. We check every note list against the brand’s own listing and independent sources such as Fragrantica, and we describe performance from what wearers consistently report rather than from our own lab claims — which is why you won’t find a made-up hours figure above.
