Lattafa Mayar Natural Intense: Green Fig and Cool Water
Most people think of Lattafa as a house of amber, oud and vanilla, and most of the time they are right. Mayar Natural Intense is the exception. The turquoise bottle in the Mayar trio is a light, watery floral that opens on green fig, tangerine, melon and coconut water, drifts into lotus and water lily, and settles into clean musk with a soft sandalwood-vanilla warmth underneath. It is the fresh answer in the Lattafa perfumes range — a fragrance for heat, daylight and anywhere a heavy scent would feel out of place.
The Scent Profile
Top — fig, green tangerine, coconut water, melon. Green and juicy rather than citrus-sharp. Fig gives a leafy, slightly milky fruitiness, green tangerine a tart lift, and melon plus coconut water a cool, watery feel. The coconut here is not creamy or tropical — think chilled and mineral, not suncream.
Heart — lotus, water lily, jasmine. The watery florals take over quickly. Lotus and water lily are soft, dewy and slightly green; jasmine adds a gentle white-floral glow without making it heady. This is the part that gives Mayar Natural Intense its clean, just-showered character.
Base — musk, ambroxan, sandalwood, vanilla. Warmer than the opening suggests. Clean musk and ambroxan give a skin-like radiance, sandalwood adds a creamy woodiness, and a small amount of vanilla softens the edges. It ends up closer to “good skin” than “perfume”.
How Mayar Natural Intense Compares
Lattafa has not named an inspiration. On its Fragrantica page, the comparison reviewers reach for most is Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia, with D&G Light Blue mentioned too. Fragrantica reviewers often compare it to Acqua di Gioia, and the shared mood is obvious: both are cool, watery, clean florals.
On paper, though, the two are not close. Acqua di Gioia’s Fragrantica listing is lemon and mint over jasmine, with cedar, brown sugar and labdanum underneath. The only note the two share is jasmine. Mayar goes fruitier and creamier — fig, melon, coconut water, sandalwood and vanilla — where Acqua di Gioia is sharper and more minty. If you want the same summery feeling at a fraction of the price, it delivers that; if you want a note-for-note replacement, it is not one.
Lattafa Perfumes is an independent UAE fragrance house with no affiliation to, licence from, or endorsement by Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana or any other brand named here. We mention them only to help you place the style.
Mayar Natural Intense Performance & When To Wear
Do not let the word “Intense” mislead you. Fragrantica reviewers mostly describe this as a moderate performer that sits close to the skin after the first hour or two, with reports ranging from a couple of hours to six or more depending on skin and application. It lasts noticeably longer on clothes and hair. Several reviewers also say it improves a great deal after the bottle has been open for a while, so a fresh bottle may seem quieter than it will later.
This is a spring and summer daytime scent, and reviewers widely describe it as spa- and office-friendly. It is one of the few Lattafa fragrances you can wear in a heatwave without a second thought — and one of the least suited to a cold winter evening.
Who It’s For
Mayar Natural Intense is for people who want to smell clean and fresh rather than perfumed — fans of watery florals and green fruit who find most Arabian fragrances too heavy. Lattafa and Fragrantica list it for women and it leans that way, but the clean, aquatic character means plenty of men wear it in summer too. It is also a good choice for anyone buying their first Lattafa who is wary of sweetness.
How It Compares With the Other Houses We Stock
If you like the coconut-and-white-flower side, Arabiyat Prestige Nyla (£39.99) is the closest relative we stock. Both pair coconut with jasmine over a musky base, but Nyla’s coconut is creamy and paired with ripe peach and tiare, where Mayar’s is watery and paired with fig and melon — Nyla is the sunny holiday, Mayar the cool pool.
For a fresh musk with more green depth, Khadlaj Musk Ice (£29.99) shares the clean musky finish but opens on bergamot and mandarin, with lily of the valley and peach in the heart and vetiver and moss underneath. It is greener and more structured than Mayar, and as an Extrait it has more concentration behind it.
Natural Intense’s Sweeter Twin
Natural Intense has one sibling in the range, and it could hardly be more different. Mayar Cherry Intense (£18.99) swaps fig, coconut water and lotus for cherry jam, cacao and vanilla, a gourmand bottle that feels at home in autumn and winter. Natural Intense stays the fresher companion for spring and summer, so many people keep one of each. Compare them side by side on our Mayar collection page.
Price, Size & What You Get
Mayar Natural Intense comes as a single 100ml Eau de Parfum. At the current sale price of £17.99 (down from £39.99) it works out at 18p per millilitre, which makes it one of the cheapest fresh fragrances we carry. Make sure you are picking the turquoise bottle — the red Mayar Cherry Intense is a cherry-cocoa gourmand and smells nothing like this.

Mayar Natural Intense FAQs
What does Lattafa Mayar Natural Intense smell like?
Fresh, green and watery. It opens with fig, green tangerine, melon and cool coconut water, turns into soft lotus, water lily and jasmine, and dries down to clean musk, ambroxan, sandalwood and a little vanilla. Think cool water and green fruit, not a sweet perfume.
What are the full Mayar Natural Intense notes?
Top — fig, green tangerine, coconut water, melon; heart — lotus, water lily, jasmine; base — musk, ambroxan, sandalwood, vanilla. Fragrantica and lattafa.com list the same eleven notes.
Is it an Acqua di Gioia dupe?
Lattafa does not claim that. Fragrantica reviewers often compare the two because both are cool, clean, watery florals, but they share only one listed note — jasmine. Mayar is fruitier and creamier; Acqua di Gioia is mintier and more citrus-led. Lattafa has no affiliation with Armani.
How long does it last?
Fragrantica voters mostly describe moderate longevity with sillage that becomes skin-close after the first hour or two — longer on clothes and hair. Many say a fresh bottle performs better after it has been open for a while.
Is it for women or unisex?
Lattafa and Fragrantica list it for women and it leans feminine, but the clean aquatic style suits anyone. We list it under both women’s and unisex.
How much is Mayar Natural Intense in the UK?
It is currently on sale at £17.99 for the 100ml Eau de Parfum (regular price £39.99), with free UK delivery and no minimum spend.
Why is it called “Intense” if it is so light?
The name distinguishes it within the Mayar family rather than describing how loudly it projects. In practice it is a soft, fresh, close-wearing scent — which is exactly why it works so well in summer and at the office.
Notes verified against Fragrantica and lattafa.com in September 2026; both list the same pyramid. Launch year (2024) is from Fragrantica; no perfumer is credited there. The Acqua di Gioia comparison reflects Fragrantica reviewer discussion, not a Lattafa claim; Acqua di Gioia’s notes are from its Fragrantica listing. Performance is a qualitative summary of Fragrantica reviewer reports — we have not invented figures. Written by Shaheen Shah Abrar, Khaleej Scents.
