Lattafa Rave Now: Pineapple, Smoky Birch and Oakmoss

Rave Now opens like a fruit bowl in the sun. Ripe pineapple leads, with tart blackcurrant, bergamot and crisp apple around it — sweet, juicy and immediately attention-grabbing. Within the hour it dries out: birch adds a light, smoky woodiness, patchouli an earthy depth, and jasmine and rose soften the edges. By the end it is clean and mossy, with musk, oakmoss, a little vanilla and ambergris sitting close to the skin. It is the original, fruit-led bottle in our Lattafa Rave Now collection, part of the wider Lattafa perfumes range. Lattafa releases it under its RAVE label, and Fragrantica catalogues it simply as Now, a men’s fragrance from 2022.

The Scent Profile

Top — pineapple, blackcurrant, bergamot, apple. The pineapple is the star, and Fragrantica reviewers are not shy about it — “pineapple bomb” comes up more than once. Blackcurrant gives a tart, slightly green edge, bergamot adds lift and apple a crisp freshness. It is a sweet, juicy opening, and it is the part of the fragrance people notice first.

Heart — birch, patchouli, Moroccan jasmine, rose. This is where Rave Now becomes more than a fruit cocktail. Birch brings a dry, lightly smoky, almost leathery note; patchouli adds earth; jasmine and rose keep it smooth rather than harsh. The fruit fades into the background here, and the fragrance takes on a more grown-up, woody character.

Base — musk, vanilla, oakmoss, ambergris. The drydown is clean and mossy. Oakmoss gives a slightly damp, green, classic-chypre feel; musk and ambergris a clean, skin-like warmth; vanilla a faint sweetness that echoes the opening. It wears close by this stage.

How Rave Now Compares to Creed Aventus — the Honest Version

Lattafa makes no inspiration claim for Rave Now; its own product page describes it simply as a fruity scent that turns floral, woody and musky. The comparison comes from the community: Fragrantica reviewers often compare it to Creed Aventus, describing it as having that same pineapple-birch-oakmoss “DNA”. Several also compare it with other Arabian takes on the style, such as Armaf-type and Lattafa pineapple fragrances.

That comparison is about a style rather than a copy. The pineapple-over-smoky-birch-and-moss structure is one of the most imitated in modern perfumery, and Rave Now follows it. Where it differs, by reviewers’ accounts, is in sweetness and emphasis: the pineapple is louder and juicier, the smokiness gentler, and the overall effect more playful than refined. Treat it as an affordable fruity-woody in that tradition, not a replica of any one bottle.

Lattafa Perfumes is an independent UAE house with no affiliation to, licence from or endorsement by Creed. We name Aventus only to help you place the style.

Fragrantica does not show a usable longevity and sillage vote tally for this fragrance, so the bars above summarise what its reviewers write rather than measure anything. The broad picture from those reviews is a moderate performer: most report around five to eight hours on skin, with decent projection for the first hour or two before it settles into a skin scent. As ever with a fruit-led opening, the loudest part is also the first to go; a spray on clothing helps the drydown last.

Rave Now is at its best in warm weather and daylight — spring and summer days out, holidays, casual weekends, and the office in moderation. The mossy base gives it enough body for a mild autumn day, but the juicy pineapple can feel out of place on a cold winter evening.

Who It’s For

Rave Now is for someone who likes the fruity-woody style — pineapple, smoke and moss — and wants a cheerful, easy version at an everyday price. It is marketed to men and Fragrantica lists it as masculine, though the fruit makes it approachable for anyone who likes a sweet, fresh scent. If you already own something in this style and want a grab-and-go bottle for summer, it fits the bill; if you are after something dark, smoky or formal, look elsewhere.

How It Compares With the Other Houses We Stock

If pineapple is what draws you in, Reef Arabs of Obaiah (£74.99) also opens on juicy pineapple but takes it somewhere much richer — into supple leather and a deep, resinous oud. It is the evening, cold-weather version of the idea, at a considerably higher price. For the blackcurrant-and-patchouli side of Rave Now without the pineapple, Reef 21 (£74.99) pairs bright red berries with cedar and a sweet patchouli base — fruity-woody in the same spirit, but berry-led rather than tropical.

The Rest of the Rave Now Range

Two more bottles carry the Rave Now name, and both go their own way. Rave Now White (£14.99) swaps pineapple and moss for grapefruit, green apple and musk, a crisp, clean option for hot days and the gym bag. Rave Now Women (£15.99) is the sweet one, with red fruits, marshmallow and vanilla that feel cosy in cooler months. All three are gathered on our Lattafa Rave Now page.

Lattafa Rave Now FAQs

What does Lattafa Rave Now smell like?

Juicy and fruity at first — pineapple, blackcurrant, bergamot and apple — then drier and woodier as smoky birch and patchouli come through with a touch of jasmine and rose, finishing clean and mossy on musk, oakmoss, vanilla and ambergris.

What are the full Rave Now notes?

Top — pineapple, blackcurrant, bergamot, apple; heart — birch, patchouli, Moroccan jasmine, rose; base — musk, vanilla, oakmoss, ambergris. Fragrantica and Lattafa’s own website give the same pyramid.

Is Lattafa Rave Now a dupe of Creed Aventus?

Lattafa does not claim so. Fragrantica reviewers often compare it to Aventus because of the shared pineapple, birch and oakmoss structure, but they describe Rave Now as sweeter and more playful, with a louder pineapple and gentler smoke. A fragrance in the same style, not a copy. Lattafa has no affiliation with Creed.

How long does Rave Now last?

Fragrantica reviewers mostly report a moderate five to eight hours on skin, with good projection for the first hour or two before it becomes a skin scent. Clothing holds it longer.

Is Rave Now for men?

Yes — Lattafa sells it as a men’s fragrance and Fragrantica lists it for men. The fruit makes it easy to wear for anyone who likes sweet, fresh scents.

How much is Lattafa Rave Now in the UK?

£17.99 for the 100ml Eau de Parfum at Khaleej Scents, with free UK delivery and no minimum spend.

What is the difference between Rave Now, Rave Now White and Rave Now Women?

They share a name and bottle shape but are three separate fragrances. This one is the fruity-woody pineapple-and-moss scent. Rave Now White is a fresher, citrus-musk unisex fragrance, and Rave Now Women is a sweet, fruity-vanilla scent for women.

Notes verified against Fragrantica and lattafa.com in September 2026; both list the same pyramid. Fragrantica catalogues it under the RAVE brand as “Now”, a 2022 men’s release, with no perfumer credited. The Aventus comparison comes from Fragrantica reviewers — Lattafa does not claim it. Performance is summarised from Fragrantica reviewer comments because a vote tally was not available to us, and we have not added wear-testing figures of our own.
