How it unfolds

Opening Rosemary Petitgrain Pepper

Heart Neroli Orris Jasmine

Drydown Cedar Vetiver Patchouli

“Some wearers swear it’s the same juice as Reflection Man; others say the opening gives it away. Give it an hour — the drydown is where the two meet. For a clean office scent at £19.99, it’s hard to beat.”

Khadlaj Shiyaaka Silver — The £19.99 Route Into Reflection Man Territory

Rosemary · Petitgrain · Pepper · Neroli · Orris · Jasmine · Cedar · Vetiver · Patchouli — 100ml Eau de Parfum, 100% authentic, free UK delivery.

Amouage Reflection Man is the reference point for clean, powdery, grown-up masculine florals: rosemary and petitgrain over a creamy neroli-orris-jasmine heart, drying down to soft woods. It is also £320 for 100ml on Amouage’s own UK store. That gap is why Shiyaaka Silver keeps coming up.

Khadlaj Shiyaaka Silver is the same fragrance sold as Shiyaaka for Men — Khadlaj’s own shop lists it under that name, and so does Fragrantica. It is a herbal, powdery floral-woody: green rosemary and petitgrain up top, a soft orris-and-neroli heart that reads “freshly laundered” rather than feminine, and a dry cedar-vetiver base.

The honest framing: wearers do compare it to Reflection Man, but they do not agree on how close it gets. One named reviewer calls it the exact same juice; another says the opening is quite different and the likeness only arrives in the drydown; a third says it stopped impressing him the moment he tried the Amouage. That split is why our Khadlaj dupes guide grades it B−, not higher. The detail is below.

Shiyaaka Silver Notes — and Why Two Pyramids Exist

Nine notes across three tiers, as Fragrantica lists them for “Shiyaaka For Men”. This is the pyramid that matches how the fragrance is described by wearers, and the one we use on this page.

ITop Notes

Green, herbal and dry. Rosemary gives a camphorous lift, petitgrain a bitter, twiggy citrus, and pepper a light prickle that stops the opening going soapy too early. Nothing here is trying to be sweet.

IIHeart Notes

The reason people buy it. Neroli brings clean orange-flower brightness, jasmine adds body, and orris does the heavy lifting — the soft, powdery, slightly buttery quality wearers describe as clean laundry or expensive soap.

IIIBase Notes

Dry and clean rather than heavy. Cedar gives a pencil-shaving crispness, vetiver an earthy grip and patchouli a faint dark sweetness underneath. It settles close to the skin and stays there.

Heads-up: Khadlaj’s own listing disagrees

Khadlaj’s official “Shiyaaka for Men” page publishes a different, vaguer pyramid: top — floral notes, orange, herbal notes, sweet notes; heart — balsamic notes, spicy notes; base — violet, musk, sandalwood, cedarwood.

Only cedar appears in both lists. The brand’s version is largely category-level (“floral notes”, “spicy notes”), while Fragrantica’s named notes are the ones wearers recognise and the ones used for the Reflection Man comparison. We show both so you are not caught out if you read the brand’s page.

Shiyaaka Silver vs Amouage Reflection Man — Where It Matches, Where It Doesn’t

On paper the likeness is striking. Reflection Man’s published pyramid on Fragrantica has eleven notes; nine of them appear in Shiyaaka Silver’s list. What Silver lacks is the ylang-ylang in the heart and the sandalwood in the base — and those are exactly the creamy materials people point to when they say the Amouage feels smoother.

What named wearers say — and why it’s B−. The Fragrantica reviews for Shiyaaka For Men pull in three directions. ScottyFrags is emphatic: you do not need Reflection Man at £200 when this costs £15–20, calling it “the EXACT same juice in two very different bottles”. A’kubu is more measured — the Amouage “has pronounced and clearer notes”, while the Khadlaj “seems more blended, flatter, sweeter”, with the opening noticeably different and the resemblance showing up in the drydown; a daily-driver version of a special-occasion scent. And Newtype0085 is blunt: “I thought this was decent until I actually tried Reflection Man. Save your money.”

When one reviewer says identical and another says don’t bother, the fair reading is: same family, closest in the drydown, not a replica. That is a B− in our Khadlaj dupes guide — below Shiyaaka Snow (A) and Shiyaaka Shadow (B+). Nobody has published a measured similarity figure, so we don’t give one. Khadlaj has no affiliation with Amouage; Reflection Man is named only to help you place the scent. Khadlaj sells Shiyaaka Silver as its own composition.

Performance — What Wearers Report

ConcentrationEau de Parfum
Wearer-reported longevityWide range: roughly 4–9 hours on skin
ProjectionSoft to moderate, closer after a few hours

Not our lab numbers. Fragrantica reviewers report anywhere from about four to nine hours on skin, with noticeably better staying power on clothing, and describe the projection as soft to moderate for the first few hours before it becomes a skin scent. Many reviewers also say the bottle improves after resting for a month or two — we pass that on as their experience, not a guarantee. Two to three sprays is the sensible dose, plus one on a collar if you want it to last into the evening.

Good to Know Before You Buy

  • Silver and “Shiyaaka for Men” are one fragrance. Same juice, two names — don’t buy both.
  • It is a quiet scent. Built for the office and close company, not for filling a room. If you want projection, look at Shadow.
  • The opening is the least Amouage-like part. If you are comparing, judge it after an hour, when the orris and woods settle.
  • Powder divides people. If orris and iris read as “old-fashioned” to you, a citrus like Snow will suit you better.
  • Two note lists exist. Khadlaj’s own site publishes a different pyramid from Fragrantica’s — see the heads-up box above.

Why Buy Shiyaaka Silver From Khaleej Scents

Every bottle is genuine Khadlaj, sourced from authorised distribution and sealed. We check every note list against the brand’s own listing and independent sources such as Fragrantica, and we describe performance from what wearers consistently report rather than from our own lab claims — which is why this page tells you the reviewers disagree instead of promising a perfect Reflection Man.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tap a question to open the answer.

What is Khadlaj Shiyaaka Silver a dupe of?
Amouage Reflection Man. Nine of Reflection Man’s eleven published notes appear in Shiyaaka Silver’s list. Named Fragrantica reviewers are split — one calls it the exact same juice, another says the opening differs and the likeness is in the drydown, and a third prefers the Amouage outright — so we grade it B−. Khadlaj makes no inspiration claim and has no affiliation with Amouage.
Are Shiyaaka Silver and Shiyaaka for Men the same?
Yes. It is the same fragrance under two names. Khadlaj’s own shop and Fragrantica both list it as Shiyaaka for Men.
How long does Shiyaaka Silver last?
Fragrantica wearers report a wide range, roughly four to nine hours on skin, and longer on clothing. Projection is soft to moderate early on, then it sits close. Many reviewers say it improves after the bottle has rested for a month or two.
What are the Shiyaaka Silver notes?
Fragrantica lists rosemary, petitgrain and pepper on top; neroli, orris and jasmine in the heart; cedar, vetiver and patchouli in the base. Khadlaj’s own page publishes a different, vaguer list: floral notes, orange, herbal and sweet notes; balsamic and spicy notes; violet, musk, sandalwood and cedarwood.
Is Shiyaaka Silver good for the office?
Yes — it is one of the most office-friendly bottles we sell. Clean, powdery and quiet after the first hour, it won’t dominate a shared space. Two to three sprays is plenty.
Is Shiyaaka Silver only for men?
Khadlaj markets it for men and it leans masculine, but the neroli, orris and jasmine heart is elegant and unisex in character. Anyone who likes powdery florals and clean woods can wear it.
Shiyaaka Silver vs Shadow vs Snow — which should I buy?
Silver (£19.99) for a clean, powdery everyday and office scent. Snow (£29.99) for bright citrus in warm weather. Shadow (£29.99) for spicy amber-woods on autumn evenings.
How much is Khadlaj Shiyaaka Silver in the UK?
£19.99 for 100ml Eau de Parfum at Khaleej Scents, with free UK delivery on every order. For comparison, Amouage Reflection Man is £320 for 100ml on Amouage’s UK store (checked October 2026).
