Lattafa Dalal: Crisp Apple, Sunny White Flowers and a Mossy Finish
Dalal (دلال) means something close to “pampered” in Arabic, and the fragrance lives up to the name. It opens with crisp, sweet apple (Lattafa specifies the Golden Delicious variety) and a squeeze of mandarin. It then settles into a creamy white-floral heart of ylang-ylang, jasmine and orange flower. The base is where it becomes grown-up: soft vanilla and clean musk with a shadow of oakmoss that stops the sweetness tipping into body-mist territory. It is one of Lattafa’s newer women’s releases and sits in our Lattafa perfumes range as the cheerful everyday floral.
The Scent Profile
Top: Golden Delicious apple and mandarin. The opening is clean and immediately likeable. The apple is juicy and orchard-sweet rather than green or candied, and mandarin adds a little sparkle.
Heart: ylang-ylang, jasmine and orange flower. This is where Dalal spends most of its time. Ylang-ylang brings a rich, creamy, almost custardy texture, jasmine gives the heart body, and orange flower keeps it sunny. It’s lush, but it doesn’t become heady.
Base: vanilla, musk and oakmoss. Soft, warm and slightly earthy. Vanilla and musk make a smooth, skin-close finish, and oakmoss adds a dry, slightly old-fashioned shadow. That moss is the detail that makes Dalal read like a proper perfume. It’s also the note a few people find a touch bitter.
How It Compares
Lattafa doesn’t name an inspiration for Dalal. On Fragrantica, the reference reviewers mention most is Rabanne Million Gold for Her. Several reviewers call Dalal an excellent dupe, and one describes it as “the best intro” to the more expensive Rabanne. Others call it “an airier Million Gold”. These are community comparisons, not claims made by Lattafa. The overlap is in the heart and base: white florals over vanilla, musk and moss. The difference is the opening. Dalal starts on apple and mandarin, which gives it a fruitier, lighter first impression. A smaller number of reviewers also mention YSL Libre Flowers & Flames and Valentino Born in Roma Gold.
Lattafa Perfumes has no affiliation with, licence from, or endorsement by Rabanne, YSL, Valentino or any other brand named here. We name them only to help you place the style.
Dalal Performance & When To Wear
We couldn’t read Fragrantica’s numerical vote tallies, and Dalal is recent enough that the review base is still growing, so we won’t quote an hour figure. In the written reviews most people report good performance, with the scent lasting well on skin and into the next day on clothes. A minority found it underperformed at first and said it improved once the bottle had rested for a few weeks.
It’s best in spring and summer, and for daytime: work, lunches, weekends. The white florals are soft enough for a shared office, and two or three sprays is plenty.
Who It’s For
Dalal is for anyone who wants a happy, polished fruity floral that still smells like perfume. If you love creamy white flowers with a hint of vanilla, it’s an easy choice. If you find ylang-ylang or oakmoss too old-fashioned, the heart and base may not be for you. Lattafa and Fragrantica both list it for women, and it wears feminine.
How It Compares with the Other Houses We Stock
From another house, the nearest match is Arabiyat Prestige Nyla (£39.99). It also pairs citrus and fruit with a jasmine-led white-floral heart over musk, but it swaps Dalal’s apple for coconut and peach and adds tiare, which takes it somewhere more tropical. If you like the creamy white-floral-and-vanilla side of Dalal, Khadlaj Nafais Sharq (£29.99) puts gardenia, apricot and pear over bourbon vanilla. It’s softer and more lotion-like, with no moss.
If Dalal Suits You, Try These Lattafa Picks
Love the jasmine-and-vanilla side of Dalal? Fakhar Rose Gold (£17.99) keeps the jasmine and vanilla but adds tuberose in place of apple, so it feels richer and more evening-ready. If it’s the crisp apple you enjoy, Hayaati (£14.99) pairs apple with cinnamon and musk for a warmer, spicier take suited to cooler days. For something softer, Ana Abiyedh 60ml (£14.99) swaps apple for pear and rests on vanilla and musk, a clean everyday option. Browse the full Lattafa perfumes range for more.
Price, Size & What You Get

Lattafa Dalal FAQs
What does Lattafa Dalal smell like?
Crisp, sweet apple and mandarin first, then a creamy heart of ylang-ylang, jasmine and orange flower, and finally soft vanilla and musk with an earthy hint of oakmoss. It’s fruity and floral, polished rather than sugary.
What are the full Dalal notes?
Top: Golden Delicious apple, mandarin. Heart: ylang-ylang, jasmine, orange flower. Base: vanilla, musk, oakmoss. Lattafa and Fragrantica agree on the pyramid. The only difference is that Fragrantica lists “orange” in the heart, while Lattafa specifies “orange flower”, and we’ve followed the manufacturer.
Is Dalal a Million Gold for Her dupe?
Lattafa doesn’t say so. On Fragrantica, Rabanne Million Gold for Her is the comparison reviewers make most, and some call it a dupe. The two share white florals over vanilla, musk and moss, but Dalal opens on apple and mandarin, so it’s fruitier and airier. Treat it as a close relative rather than a copy. Lattafa has no affiliation with Rabanne.
How long does Dalal last?
Most Fragrantica reviewers report good longevity, lasting well on skin and longer on clothes. A few found it weaker until the bottle had rested for a while. We couldn’t read the numerical vote tallies, so we won’t give an hour figure.
Is Dalal for women?
Yes. Lattafa and Fragrantica both list it for women, and it wears feminine. Anyone who likes apple-and-white-floral scents can enjoy it.
How much is Lattafa Dalal in the UK?
£22.50 for 100ml Eau de Parfum at Khaleej Scents, with free UK delivery and no minimum spend.
Is this the same Dalal listed with rose and sandalwood on some sites?
No. Some databases list an older, limited-edition Lattafa Dalal with different notes. This is the current 100ml Eau de Parfum with the apple, ylang-ylang, jasmine, vanilla and oakmoss pyramid published on Lattafa’s own site.
Notes verified against lattafa.com and Fragrantica in September 2026. The two sources agree apart from “orange” versus “orange flower”, and we’ve used the manufacturer’s more specific note. Fragrantica shows no launch year or perfumer. Comparisons and performance summarise Fragrantica reviews and are attributed as such. We don’t claim any wear-testing figures of our own.
