Lattafa Fakhar Extrait: Grapefruit, Sunlit Tuberose and Soft Leather

Fakhar Extrait smells like warm skin at the end of a day in the sun. It opens with a bright, bitter grapefruit, spiced up with cardamom and pink pepper. Then something unusual for a fragrance sold to men: a creamy tuberose, surrounded by solar notes — that glowing, sun-lotion warmth — and kept in check by a bitter, herbal thread of artemisia. The base is where it becomes rich: golden amber, woody cashmeran, a smooth, polished leather and resinous labdanum. It is the warmest and most opulent bottle in our Lattafa Fakhar collection, and one of the more distinctive in our Lattafa perfumes range. Fragrantica lists it as a 2023 release.

The Scent Profile

Top — grapefruit, cardamom, pink pepper. A lively, mouth-watering start. Grapefruit gives a juicy bitterness, cardamom a cool green spice, and pink pepper a dry, prickly sparkle. It is bright without being thin, and it moves into the heart without a jolt.

Heart — tuberose, solar notes, artemisia. The heart is the conversation piece. Tuberose is creamy, rich and quietly floral; solar notes surround it with a warm, radiant, almost sun-cream glow; artemisia — wormwood — adds a bitter, herbal edge that stops the flower from turning sweet. The result is less a bouquet than a warm, glowing skin accord with a flower inside it.

Base — amber, cashmeran, leather, labdanum. Warm, smooth and grown-up. Amber gives a golden sweetness, cashmeran a soft, musky woodiness, and labdanum a resinous depth. The leather is polished rather than rough — more a good wallet than a biker jacket. This is the stage people notice on themselves hours later.

How Fakhar Extrait Compares to Paco Rabanne 1 Million Parfum — the Honest Version

Lattafa does not officially name an inspiration. Its own product page mentions that customers compare Fakhar Extrait to Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million, but it frames that as customer feedback rather than a brand claim. On the community side, Fragrantica reviewers often compare it to 1 Million Parfum, with many describing it as close; a few also mention Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue and Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Pour Homme, and several simply say it smells like expensive sun lotion.

Where does it differ? The comparison rests on the shared grapefruit, tuberose, solar and leather-amber structure, and on that score the resemblance is real. What Fakhar Extrait lacks is the salty, beachy, coconut-oil texture associated with the Rabanne; without it, reviewers tend to describe the Lattafa as brighter, more citrus-led and a little more linear, holding one shape rather than shifting through the day. So: very much in the same style, but not an identical twin, and we will not put a percentage on it.

Lattafa Perfumes is an independent UAE house with no affiliation to, licence from or endorsement by Paco Rabanne, Puig, Dolce & Gabbana or Jean Paul Gaultier. We mention these fragrances only to help you place the style.

Lattafa Fakhar Extrait Performance & When To Wear

Performance at a Glance

LONGEVITY · moderate on skin, much longer on fabric
PROJECTION · strong early, then settles close
OFFICE SAFE · at two sprays, yes
VERSATILITY · warm days and evenings alike
BEST SEASONS

We could not extract a clean longevity and sillage vote tally from Fragrantica, so the bars above are a qualitative summary of what its reviewers write rather than a measurement. The consistent picture from those reviews is a fragrance that projects strongly for the first two to four hours and then settles into a skin scent, with most reports putting skin wear at roughly four to seven hours — and a great deal longer on clothing, where several reviewers describe it lasting well past twelve hours. If you want it to carry through the day, spray fabric as well as skin.

The solar, sun-on-skin character makes it a natural choice for spring and summer, from a sunny afternoon to a warm evening out. The amber and leather base gives it enough weight for an autumn night too, but in the depths of winter its glow feels out of season.

Who It’s For

Fakhar Extrait is for someone who wants something warm, glowing and a little unexpected — a fragrance that smells expensive without smelling like everyone else’s. Lattafa markets it to men, and Fragrantica lists it that way, but its own website calls it unisex, and the reviews bear that out: several wearers find the tuberose reads distinctly feminine, others find the spice and leather keep it masculine. We list it under both, and we think the argument is part of its charm. If you like a creamy floral on a man, or a leathery amber on anyone, it is worth trying.

How It Compares With the Other Houses We Stock

The nearest shared note on our shelves is tuberose: Riiffs Taif (£29.99) also puts it at the heart, alongside rose petals, but frames it with iced ginger and bergamot above and a clean vanilla-amberwood base below — cooler, fresher and more daytime than Fakhar Extrait’s warm amber-leather glow. For the same grapefruit-and-spice opening pushed somewhere darker and earthier, Khadlaj Shiyaaka Shadow (£29.99) pairs grapefruit and pink pepper with lavender, then dries down to amber, cedar, patchouli and moss rather than leather and florals.

Where Extrait Sits in the Fakhar Line

Extrait is the boldest of four Fakhar bottles, and each of the others has its own mood. For a fresher weekday option, the original Fakhar (£20.00) keeps things clean with apple, lavender and tonka. Fakhar Platinum (£18.99) blends guava and lavender with palo santo, bright enough for high summer. If it’s the tuberose you enjoy here, Fakhar Rose Gold (£17.99) makes it the star alongside jasmine and vanilla, minus the leather. See the whole line in our Lattafa Fakhar collection.

Lattafa Fakhar Extrait FAQs

What does Lattafa Fakhar Extrait smell like?

Warm, glowing and slightly unexpected. Juicy grapefruit with cardamom and pink pepper opens it, a creamy tuberose sits in a sunny, solar heart with bitter artemisia, and it dries down to amber, cashmeran, soft leather and labdanum — often described as smelling like expensive sun lotion on warm skin.

What are the full Fakhar Extrait notes?

Top — grapefruit, cardamom, pink pepper; heart — tuberose, solar notes, artemisia; base — amber, cashmeran, leather, labdanum. Fragrantica and Lattafa’s own website agree on this pyramid; Lattafa lists labdanum under its other name, cistus.

Is Fakhar Extrait a dupe of 1 Million Parfum?

Lattafa does not claim it as an inspiration, though its website notes that customers make the comparison, and Fragrantica reviewers often compare it to Paco Rabanne 1 Million Parfum. It shares the grapefruit, tuberose, solar and leather-amber structure; reviewers find the Lattafa brighter and more linear, without the salty, beachy texture. Lattafa has no affiliation with Paco Rabanne.

How long does Fakhar Extrait last?

Fragrantica reviewers mostly report four to seven hours on skin, with strong projection for the first few hours, and much longer on clothing — several say twelve hours or more. We have not added figures of our own.

Is Fakhar Extrait for men or women?

Both, depending on who you ask. Fragrantica lists it for men and Lattafa markets it that way in most regions, but Lattafa’s own site lists it as unisex, and many wearers find the tuberose reads feminine. We list it as men’s and unisex.

How much is Lattafa Fakhar Extrait in the UK?

£18.99 for the 100ml bottle at Khaleej Scents, with free UK delivery and no minimum spend.

Is it an Extrait de Parfum or an Eau de Parfum?

Our stock is labelled Eau de Parfum, and that is how we list it. Lattafa’s own website describes the product’s concentration as Extrait, and “Extrait” is in the fragrance’s name, so you will see both. We would treat the word in the name as part of the title rather than a guarantee of concentration.

Notes verified against Fragrantica and lattafa.com in September 2026; both give the same pyramid. Fragrantica lists it as a 2023 men’s release with no perfumer credited, while lattafa.com lists it as unisex. The 1 Million Parfum comparison comes from Fragrantica reviewers and from customer feedback that Lattafa’s site mentions — it is not an official Lattafa claim. Performance is summarised from Fragrantica reviewer comments because a clean vote tally was not available to us, and we have not added wear-testing figures of our own.
