Musk Ice — sold by Khadlaj as Private Blend Musk Ice — is a clean, bright musk. Bergamot and mandarin open it, a soft heart of lily of the valley, orange blossom and peach follows, and a base of musk, vetiver and moss gives it a gently green, earthy finish. It reads luminous and “freshly laundered” rather than sweet.
The comparison you will see most is Parfums de Marly Valaya. On Fragrantica, reviewers describe Musk Ice as “a smoother and fresher version of Valaya”, and others reach for Initio Musk Therapy or Creed Virgin Island Water instead. Khadlaj names no inspiration. The note overlap is real but partial, and no one has published a side-by-side, so we grade the Valaya claim C in our Khadlaj dupes guide.

A clean, sparkling citrus start. Several reviewers say a fresh bottle can smell sharp or synthetic here and that it rounds out after some weeks of rest.
Soft white florals with a touch of juicy peach. This is the part that recalls Valaya — clean, bright and slightly creamy, without heavy sweetness.
Clean musk with a dry, green edge from vetiver and moss. That earthiness is where Musk Ice parts company with Valaya’s ambroxan-and-vanilla base.

A Valaya-style fresh musk, not a Valaya copy.
Why C? The comparisons are real but scattered: “a smoother and fresher version of Valaya” from one reviewer, “Musk Therapy with Valaya” from another, a toned-down Virgin Island Water from a third. When wearers name three different originals, that is a genre, not a dupe. Parfums de Marly has no affiliation with Khadlaj. We have not shown a price comparison because we did not verify a UK RRP on the brand’s own site.
Performance — Honestly Divided
One Fragrantica reviewer reports “a solid 6 hours, probably more” after the bottle had macerated; another, comparing it with Valaya, found it faded within minutes.
