Mandarin gives the opening its sweetness and bergamot rounds it out, and there is a cold, faintly aquatic quality underneath that earns the name. That has since changed: at least one 2026 written review and several video comparisons now put the two side by side, and the consistent verdict is that the Louis Vuitton reads more natural and higher-definition in the citrus, holds its sparkle deeper into the wear, and that Shiyaaka Snow’s opening is slightly sweeter and simpler while its spice sits a little louder before dropping into the cardamom-vetiver base sooner. So: a family resemblance and a well-argued one, not a mirror image.

One straight answer on Shiyaaka Snow longevity, because the internet gives you three. Retailer listings quote anywhere from four to eight hours. The most detailed independent review we could find puts it at roughly four to six hours with fresh, close-range sillage after an energetic first hour, and that matches our own wearing. Citrus is the least durable material family in perfumery, so four to six hours from a citrus-led EDP is normal rather than disappointing — the vetiver and cardamom are what buy it those later hours. If you want something that lasts longer in the same broad direction, the extrait-strength Khadlaj Island Dreams is the stronger performer.
You will also see claims that Shiyaaka Snow “needs to macerate” before it performs. We cannot find a credible source for that, so we are not going to repeat it as fact. Two sprays on the pulse points is the right dose.

Shiyaaka Snow suits anyone who wants a clean, bright, inoffensive everyday citrus and does not want to think about it much.
