Khadlaj · Dupe guide · Updated September 2026
Search “Khadlaj dupes” and you will find a lot of confident percentages. Most of them are invented. This guide does the opposite: it lists every Khadlaj fragrance with a dupe claim attached, grades how well the claim holds up against what reviewers who compared both bottles actually said, and names the fragrances that are not dupes of anything, whatever a listing tells you.
The question we are asked most is about the Island family, so that comes first. Browse the whole house on our Khadlaj Perfumes page.
Quick answer
What is Khadlaj Island a dupe of?
Khadlaj Island is a dupe of Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Le Parfum. The two share an identical published note pyramid — pineapple, iris, ginger and cypress over coconut, then tonka, sandalwood, amber and ambergris — and several reviewers call it as close as a clone gets. The honest caveats: Island projects less, and its opening is fresher and a little more powdery than the creamier, sweeter JPG. Khadlaj Island 100ml is £27.99 with free UK delivery.

How We Graded Every Khadlaj Dupe
Two rules we applied throughout. First, we ignored every percentage from an unsourced blog — the “95% match” figures almost always trace back to AI-written affiliate pages. We only repeat a percentage when a named reviewer stated it about their own testing. Second, we checked every note pyramid against both Khadlaj’s Fragrantica listings and Khadlaj’s own product pages, and we flag it where the two disagree.
Evidence strength: the Khadlaj dupes people search for most
Our evidence score out of 10 (A = 9, A− = 8, B+ = 7, B = 6, B− = 5, C = 3, None = 1). This measures how well the claim is supported — not a similarity percentage.
Scores reflect published reviewer testimony checked in September 2026. They will move as more side-by-side comparisons appear.
Khadlaj Island Dupes: Island, Island Dreams, Island Sun & Vanilla Dunes
Khadlaj’s own site and its Fragrantica listing both show four Island fragrances: Island, Island Dreams, Island Sun and Island Vanilla Dunes. There is also an Island gift set, which is packaging rather than a new scent. Each one gets asked about separately, and each one has a different answer. For a head-to-head on which to buy, see Island vs Island Dreams vs Vanilla Dunes.
Khadlaj Island A−
| Khadlaj Island | JPG Le Beau Le Parfum | |
|---|---|---|
| Top | Pineapple, iris, ginger, cypress | Pineapple, iris, ginger, cypress |
| Heart | Coconut, woody notes | Coconut, woody notes |
| Base | Tonka, sandalwood, amber, ambergris* | Tonka, sandalwood, amber, ambergris |
The pyramids are identical on Fragrantica, and that shows on skin. Multiple Fragrantica reviewers call it about as close as a 1:1 gets; one who wore both side by side found Island’s opening brighter, fresher and slightly powdery, with the Gaultier creamier and sweeter. Others describe Island as a touch boozier and more cypress-forward. The consistent complaint is performance — it projects less and sits closer to the skin. A minority dislike it entirely, which is why this is A− rather than A.
*Khadlaj’s own listing omits ambergris from the base. Sources: Khadlaj Island on Fragrantica · Le Beau Le Parfum on Fragrantica

Khadlaj Island Dreams B+
| Island Dreams | LV Symphony | |
|---|---|---|
| Top | Ginger, bergamot | Grapefruit, bergamot, ginger (single-layer listing) |
| Heart | Grapefruit | |
| Base | Musk, ambroxan |
Island Dreams is the Khadlaj people most often call “LV for under £30”, and on the evidence it is a strong B+. Several Fragrantica reviewers describe it as essentially 1:1 with Symphony; one puts it at 90–95% while warning that the first 10–15 minutes smell sharp, even slightly like a cleaning product, before it settles. Another describes it as Symphony “with the citrus turned up”, and says it lasts longer. The recurring difference is the drydown: reviewers find the musk less refined and less clean than Louis Vuitton’s. Give it a few weeks after opening — several owners say the harsh opening softens with time.

Khadlaj Island Sun None
| Top | Heart | Base |
|---|---|---|
| Lime, mango, coconut, lemon | Pink pepper, orange blossom, jasmine | Tonka, precious woods, musk |
This is the Island people search for most after the original, and the honest answer is that Island Sun is not a dupe of anything. Khadlaj describes it only as inspired by sun-soaked shores and exotic fruit, with no named reference. The handful of Fragrantica comparisons point in different directions — “Island Dreams and Island mixed with mango”, a loose likeness to Creed Virgin Island Water, a nod to Rayhaan Aquatica — and none of them come from a side-by-side test. Treat it as an original tropical-citrus member of the Island family. Early reviews are mixed, with some finding the opening sharp and the projection soft. We do not currently stock Island Sun; if you want the Island style, start with Island Dreams or Island.

Khadlaj Island Vanilla Dunes B+
| Vanilla Dunes (Fragrantica) | PdM Althaïr | |
|---|---|---|
| Top | Vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, bergamot | Cinnamon, orange blossom, cardamom, bergamot |
| Heart | Orange blossom, guaiac wood | Bourbon vanilla, elemi |
| Base | Praline, amber, musk | Praline, musk, ambroxan, tonka, guaiac, candied almond |
A genuinely divided one. Plenty of reviewers say it smells almost exactly like Althaïr in the opening and outperforms it; others find the cinnamon louder and the result sweeter and more floral. The fairest summary: Althaïr is the smoother, deeper big brother, and Vanilla Dunes is a creamier, more vanilla-forward, more unisex take. It is also frequently called a twin of French Avenue Liquid Brun, itself an Althaïr-style scent.
Note conflict: Khadlaj’s own listing gives lavender, bergamot, cardamom / orange blossom, guaiac, dry amber / vanilla, praline, amber — no cinnamon — though wearers widely report cinnamon. Sources: Vanilla Dunes on Fragrantica · Althaïr on Fragrantica
Shop Vanilla Dunes · £27.99 Read our full reviewIs there a Khadlaj Island Blue?
Not that we can find. It is not on Khadlaj’s own site or on Fragrantica’s Khadlaj list. The one listing we found using that name gives the notes of Shiyaaka Blue, a citrus-lavender fougère, so it appears to be a mislabelled product. If you see “Island Blue” for sale, check the notes on the box before you buy.

|---|---|---|---|
| Shiyaaka Snow | Louis Vuitton Météore | A | Several testers had others smell both wrists and nobody could tell; creamier opening |

How the 35 claims break down
Number of Khadlaj fragrances at each grade in the list above.
Only 4 of 35 reach A territory. Almost two in five are C or no claim at all — which is exactly why a percentage on a product listing should never be taken at face value.
Onyx Silver & Onyx Gold: What Are They Dupes Of?
| Onyx Silver | Onyx Gold | |
|---|---|---|
| Compared to | Parfums de Marly Castley | Clive Christian Blonde Amber |
| Grade | B+ | B+ |
| Top | Black pepper, ginger, bergamot | Rum, bitter orange, cardamom, ginger |
| Heart | Petitgrain, cardamom | Dried fruits, sandalwood, osmanthus, white florals |
| Base | Benzoin, tonka, labdanum, patchouli | Myrrh, vanilla, tonka, patchouli |
| Best evidence | One reviewer tested both at an airport and could not tell them apart | Two separate reviewers each put it around 90% |
| Main difference | Less smooth and deep; some read it as closer to LV Imagination | Less complex; some detect a Grand Soir-style amber |
| Our price | £27.99 / 100ml | £27.99 / 100ml |
Onyx Gold has moved up the most since we first published this guide: when we started, the only Blonde Amber claim we could find was retailer marketing. There are now several independent reviewer comparisons. Khadlaj’s own listing leaves rum out of Onyx Gold’s top notes and adds labdanum to the base. Sources: Onyx Silver and Onyx Gold on Fragrantica; Castley and Blonde Amber for comparison.
Muse, Sawaar, Ria, Mansion & the Other Questions We Get
Muse → Celine Zouzou (A−). The best-supported claim outside the Island line. A reviewer who compared them side by side called it 95% identical at first, then found Zouzou richer and duskier while Muse is airier and projects more; several others independently land between 90% and 97%. Notes: almond, orange blossom, bergamot / orris, cream, jasmine / vanilla, white musk, tonka, amber. We don’t stock Muse at the moment. Muse · Zouzou
Sawaar Vanille Blanc → Phlur Vanilla Skin (B). We originally listed this as having no dupe target. That has changed: Fragrantica now carries a run of reviews calling it spot on or identical to Vanilla Skin. Others put it closer to 85%, drier, woodier and more apple-led. There is no side-by-side yet, and some wearers name Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 59 or Victoria’s Secret Bare Vanilla instead. Khadlaj itself sells it as an original, with no inspired-by claim. There is no fragrance called plain “Sawaar”; searches for it mean Sawaar Vanille Blanc. Sawaar Vanille Blanc is £29.99. Sawaar Vanille Blanc · Vanilla Skin
Ria → Dior Rouge Trafalgar or Burberry Her (C). Reviewers can’t agree, and the ones who name Burberry Her call them distant cousins — the berry opening matches, but Ria dries down to patchouli where Burberry goes to vanilla. Buy Ria (£24.99) for its raspberry-cherry-musk character, not as a copy. Ria on Fragrantica
Mansion → Kilian Angels’ Share Paradis (B−). Most listings say Angels’ Share, but the reviewers who compare it name the newer Paradis flanker. No percentages, no side-by-side. Mansion is £29.99. If you want the original Angels’ Share lane, the widely compared budget option is Lattafa Khamrah — see our Khamrah page. Mansion · Angels’ Share Paradis
Icon → Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif (B). A new claim since our first edition. One reviewer wore both over several days and called Icon “clearly a dupe”, while noting the Chanel is smokier and sweeter and that it takes three sprays of Icon to match one of the original. Icon is £29.99. Icon on Fragrantica
Titan → Armani Stronger With You Parfum (B−). Reviewer figures run from 78% to 95%, and nobody has published a side-by-side. The structure lines up, but Titan lacks the sugared-chestnut accord that makes the Armani recognisable. Our full Khadlaj Titan review puts the two pyramids side by side.
The Khadlaj 25 line. Five fragrances: Experience, Integrity, Loyalty, Heritage and Trust. None has a strong dupe claim. 25 Experience is compared to JPG Le Male Le Parfum in the opening only, and several reviewers flatly disagree. 25 Trust sits in the Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato genre but is deeper and richer. 25 Loyalty has a single comment likening it to Ramon Monegal Flamenco. 25 Integrity is not on Fragrantica and has no claim at all. One practical warning: Khadlaj’s own blog post about the 25 range lists notes that contradict its own product pages, so check the box.
Le Prestige Bold → Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait (C). Described as BR “with a twist”, fruitier and sweeter, with performance reviewers call poor. Its notes differ completely between Fragrantica and Khadlaj’s own site, which is a red flag for any comparison. Sensuous Night and Ombre Notes have no credible original.
Khadlaj Perfumes That Are Not Dupes of Anything
This is the section no other dupe list publishes, and it may be the most useful. For these fragrances we found no credible dupe claim at all — no tested comparison, no consistent community answer.
- Island Sun — the newest Island, sold on its own tropical-citrus profile. The comparisons online contradict each other.
- Empire Victor — a straight white floral. The only “dupes of Empire Victor” page online is an auto-generated note-matching template.
- Sensuous Night — scattered one-off comparisons to different fragrances, and repeated complaints about longevity.
- Shiyaaka White — one clickbait headline asks whether it’s a Chloé dupe. Its saffron-amber-labdanum structure does not support that.
- 25 Integrity and Ombre Notes — not even listed on Fragrantica; no claim anywhere we looked.
- Hareem Al Sultan — see below. This one runs the other way.
Buying one of these because you think it clones something will end in disappointment. Buy them because you like how they smell.
The one everyone else copies
Hareem Al Sultan
Hareem Al Sultan is not a dupe of anything — it is Khadlaj’s own 2008 creation, and it has been copied instead. Rival Arabian houses now sell fragrances under the same name, and the 35ml Hareem Al Sultan Gold oil is one of the most counterfeited Arabian products in circulation. If a “dupe list” tells you Hareem Al Sultan clones a designer, it has the direction of travel backwards.
How to Spot a Fake Dupe Claim
While researching this page we found a “best dupes for Khadlaj Island Dreams” article describing it as a tropical pineapple-and-hibiscus aquatic. Island Dreams is ginger, bergamot and grapefruit over musk and ambroxan — the writer appears to have guessed the profile from the word “Island”. Another site published an unsourced “95% similarity” figure for a fragrance and, elsewhere on the same site, a verdict that no exact dupe exists. The reviewers making these comparisons are often more honest than the pages citing them: one who actually tested Cloud Candy against Kayali steered readers away from the dupe framing entirely, and another described Zayaan Gold as “not a dupe, but an independent fragrance”.
| Red flag | What a credible claim looks like |
|---|---|
| Every fragrance is “90%+” | Grades vary, and some claims are called wrong |
| No mention of how it was tested | “Wore both, one on each wrist” or similar |
| Notes don’t match the bottle | Notes match the brand and Fragrantica, or the conflict is flagged |
| Only strengths listed | Differences named: opening, drydown, projection |
Khadlaj is a genuine UAE house. For how to recognise genuine stock and fair UK pricing, see our Khadlaj perfume price guide.
The pattern worth knowing: Khadlaj’s strongest dupes cluster in fresh and masculine or unisex designer territory — Shiyaaka Snow, Fursan White, Island, Island Dreams, Onyx Silver. Its women’s-facing gourmands and fruity florals — Peach Velvet, Cloud Candy, Ria, Cream Velvet — are where the claims are weakest, and yet those are the ones resellers market hardest with dupe language. If you’re shopping that half of the catalogue, ignore the dupe framing and read the notes.
Khadlaj Dupes: FAQs
Quick answers to the questions buyers search for most. Tap a question to open it.
What is Khadlaj Island a dupe of?
Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Le Parfum. The two share an identical note pyramid on Fragrantica, and several reviewers call Island as close as a clone gets. The differences: Island’s opening is fresher and slightly powdery, the JPG is creamier and sweeter, and Island projects less.
What is Khadlaj Island Sun a dupe of?
Nothing credible. Khadlaj names no inspiration beyond sunny shores and tropical fruit, and the scattered online comparisons (Island Dreams mixed with mango, Creed Virgin Island Water, Rayhaan Aquatica) contradict each other and come from no side-by-side test. It is best treated as an original lime, mango and coconut fragrance in the Island family.
What is Khadlaj Island Dreams a dupe of?
Louis Vuitton Symphony. Several reviewers call it essentially 1:1, and one puts it at 90–95%. The opening is sharper and more citrus-heavy, and the musk in the drydown is less refined than Louis Vuitton’s. Many owners find the opening softens after a few weeks.
What is Khadlaj Island Vanilla Dunes a dupe of?
Parfums de Marly Althaïr. Many reviewers say the opening is almost exact and performance is good; others find the cinnamon stronger and the result sweeter and more floral. Althaïr is smoother and deeper; Vanilla Dunes is creamier and more vanilla-forward.
Is there a Khadlaj Island Blue?
Not as far as we can tell. It is not on Khadlaj’s own site or Fragrantica. The one listing we found under that name carries the notes of Shiyaaka Blue, so it appears to be mislabelled.
What is Khadlaj Onyx Silver a dupe of?
Parfums de Marly Castley. One reviewer who tested both side by side could not tell them apart; others find Onyx Silver less smooth and deep, and some read it as closer to Louis Vuitton Imagination. We grade it B+.
What is Khadlaj Onyx Gold a dupe of?
Clive Christian Blonde Amber. Two independent reviewers each put it at around 90%, while noting it is less complex than the original. We grade it B+.
What is Khadlaj Muse a dupe of?
Celine Zouzou. A reviewer who compared both side by side called it 95% identical at first; Zouzou is richer and duskier, Muse airier and louder. Several other reviewers put it between 90% and 97%.
What is Khadlaj Sawaar Vanille Blanc a dupe of?
It is most often compared to Phlur Vanilla Skin, with some reviewers calling it identical and others around 85% and woodier. Khadlaj sells it as an original and no side-by-side test has been published. There is no separate fragrance called “Sawaar”.
What is Khadlaj Ria a dupe of?
There is no agreement. Some reviewers point to Dior Rouge Trafalgar, others to Burberry Her, and those who compare it to Burberry Her call them distant cousins because Ria dries down to patchouli rather than vanilla. We grade it C.
What are the Khadlaj 25 perfumes dupes of?
None has a strong dupe claim. 25 Experience is compared to JPG Le Male Le Parfum in the opening only; 25 Trust sits in the Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato genre; 25 Loyalty has one comment likening it to Ramon Monegal Flamenco; and 25 Integrity has no claim at all.
What is Khadlaj Mansion a clone of?
Reviewers compare it to By Kilian Angels’ Share Paradis rather than the original Angels’ Share. There are no percentages and no side-by-side test, so we grade it B−.
Which Khadlaj is the most accurate dupe?
Shiyaaka Snow against Louis Vuitton Météore. Several reviewers had other people smell both wrists and nobody could tell them apart, with the main difference being a creamier opening. Fursan White against Matière Première Vanilla Powder and Island against Le Beau Le Parfum are close behind.
Is Khadlaj a dupe brand?
Not in how it presents itself. Khadlaj’s own marketing does not use inspired-by language about other perfumes, and it has an original catalogue going back decades, including Hareem Al Sultan, which other houses now copy. Several of its modern releases sit close to designer references, and the community labels them accordingly.
What Changed in This Update
We re-checked every claim in September 2026 against Fragrantica reviews and Khadlaj’s own listings. Where the evidence moved, the grade moved with it:
- Upgraded: Shiyaaka Snow (B− → A), Onyx Gold (C → B+), Island Dreams (B → B+), Sawaar Vanille Blanc (no claim → B).
- Downgraded: Onyx Silver (A− → B+), Shiyaaka Silver (A− → B−), Fursan White (A → A−), Epoque Artistique (B → C), Peach Velvet (B → C).
- Corrected: Mansion is compared to Angels’ Share Paradis, not the original Angels’ Share.
- Added: Island Sun, Muse, Icon, Le Prestige Bold, Sensuous Night, Ombre Notes and the 25 line, plus a note on “Island Blue”.

Grades are based on published reviewer testimony — prioritising reviewers who say they compared both bottles — rather than retailer marketing or video titles. Where reviewers disagree we say so instead of averaging them into a false consensus, and where Fragrantica and Khadlaj’s own notes differ we flag it. We sell Khadlaj; we would still rather you bought the right bottle than a disappointing one.
