La Di Da For Him opens bright. Grapefruit and bergamot arrive together with a green, faintly minty lift from geranium, reading fresh and slightly soapy in the way modern masculine fragrances aim for and often miss. Within half an hour it warms: black pepper adds dry spice, aromatic notes fill out the middle, and creamy tonka pulls it towards sweetness. The drydown is clean and close: ambergris with vanilla and musk.
Arabiyat Prestige has never published an “inspired by” claim for it, but on Fragrantica, where it has 455 votes and a 4.52 rating, the name that keeps coming up is YSL MYSLF, sometimes with Armani Stronger With You mixed in. Interestingly, the published note lists overlap far less than the reviews suggest, and we explain that below.
It was released in 2025 by perfumer Julia Rodriguez, alongside the very different La Di Da For Her. For Him is the more approachable of the pair.

A crisp citrus opening with a green edge. Geranium adds a cool, slightly metallic freshness that stops the grapefruit and bergamot reading as generic.
A gradual, well-handled turn towards sweetness. The tonka is creamy rather than sugary, black pepper keeps it dry, and the aromatic notes give a groomed, slightly barbershop quality.
Soft, clean and skin-close. Ambergris gives a salty-warm depth, vanilla rounds it, and musk keeps it fresh rather than heavy.

This comparison is unusual. On paper the two look quite different: Fragrantica lists MYSLF as Calabrian bergamot, Tunisian orange blossom, Ambrofix™ and patchouli. La Di Da shares only bergamot and an ambergris-type base. Yet many named reviewers say they smell very close.

What named reviewers said. On La Di Da For Him’s Fragrantica page, SauronWins says it reaches “98% YSL Myslf” once it has macerated; BallinTheFrog found it “incredibly close to the YSL MYSLF sample”; and MattDuder describes it as “About 80% MYSLF, 20% SWY”, meaning Armani Stronger With You. Those are individual noses, not measurements, and the gap between the note lists is a good reason to treat the likeness as “same feel” rather than “same formula”. Arabiyat Prestige has no affiliation with Yves Saint Laurent or Giorgio Armani.
Performance: A Genuinely Split Verdict
We won’t average these into a single number. On Fragrantica, MrFragUK finds it a “skin scent within 1.5 – 2 hours” and ribletman says it “lasts around 5 hours total”, while Trag1c H3ro could still smell it on their shirt 17 hours later and TheTrackEnthusiast got “compliments well into hour 7”. Several wearers say a new bottle improves noticeably after a few weeks of resting. Three sprays, one of them on fabric, is a sensible start.
