Swar Seduire opens on something you rarely smell: dates. Not a generic dried-fruit sweetness but the sticky, caramelised richness of the fruit itself, wrapped in cinnamon and lifted by marigold, whose faintly bitter, balsamic edge stops the opening turning into pudding.
The heart is where its character sets. Soft, buttery leather arrives with dry amber and sugar cane, and the contrast between the leather and the sweetness above is the whole idea. It settles on vanilla, patchouli and oud, with the oud used for depth rather than as the headline.

Cinnamon is the first thing most people notice, with dates close behind adding a jammy, almost boozy sweetness. Marigold is the unusual choice: faintly bitter and balsamic, it stops this reading as just another caramel gourmand.
The leather is the reason to buy this: soft and buttery, not smoky tannery. Dry amber bridges it to the sugar cane, keeping the middle from collapsing into pure gourmand.
Vanilla rounds everything off, patchouli adds earth, and the oud is present but restrained. If you have avoided oud because it seemed medicinal or overpowering, this is a gentle way in.

What It Is (and Isn’t)
✓ It is an original date-and-leather gourmand, and the most distinctive scent Arabiyat Prestige makes. You won’t find this pairing on the high street at any price.
✕ It isn’t a dupe. Arabiyat Prestige publishes no “inspired by” claim, and on its Fragrantica page reviewers point in different directions rather than at one original. Offways says the opening “instantly evokes the opulent vibe of Guerlain Tabaco Sahara” but without its dry tobacco. That describes a mood, not a copy, so we grade it None.

How It Wears
These figures come from named wearers on Fragrantica, and they do vary. Kenan345 reports about 6 hours on skin and 8–9 on clothing, and GusCastilloV says it “projects excellently for 6+ hours”. Stanyou initially found it very weak, but it improved considerably once the bottle had matured. It projects early, then settles close, so if you want presence, spray a scarf or collar.

- Check the full name. There are several Swar scents (Swar, Swar D’Amour, Swar Serpentine, Swar Venin) and they don’t smell alike.
- Cold-weather evenings. Dates, leather and oud shine in autumn and winter. In summer heat it turns heavy, and it isn’t an office scent.
- Spray fabric. It holds noticeably better on a scarf or coat collar than on skin.
