Bujairami Lucid Dream: Bergamot, Cedar and Warm Amber
If Hectic is the Bujairami you wear to be noticed and Mad Love is the one you wear to be remembered, Lucid Dream is the one you wear because you already know who you are. It is the quietest fragrance in the Bujairami perfumes UK range — and, paradoxically, the one that draws people closest.
Built on just seven notes, Lucid Dream is a study in restraint. Pink pepper, bergamot and mandarin open bright and spiced. Cedarwood and orange blossom form a heart that reads clean, woody and gently floral. Amber and tonka bean close it with a warm, creamy sweetness that sits flush against the skin. There is no oud, no leather, no incense, no smoke. Nothing dark, nothing challenging — just a well-blended modern woody-amber that smells considerably more expensive than it costs.
The Scent Profile
Top — pink pepper, bergamot, mandarin. The opening is bright, precise and immediately likeable. Bergamot provides the clean, aromatic citrus foundation: bitter, slightly green, unmistakably Mediterranean. Mandarin sweetens it with a juicy, sun-warmed roundness. Pink pepper adds a gentle fizz — not the aggressive bite of black pepper, but a warm, slightly floral spice that lifts the citrus and bridges into the heart. The first five minutes read expensive and effortless.
Heart — cedarwood, orange blossom. Two notes, and it works because both are doing exactly the right thing. Cedarwood provides a clean, dry, pencil-shaving woodiness — structured without being heavy. Orange blossom, neroli’s warmer and sweeter cousin, adds a luminous floral softness that stops the cedar reading austere. Together they make a heart that is woody, faintly soapy and quietly elegant.
Base — amber, tonka bean. The dry-down is warm, smooth and deeply wearable. Amber provides the golden, resinous warmth that anchors the composition — not a heavy, syrupy amber but something cleaner and more radiant. Tonka bean adds a creamy, faintly vanillic sweetness with an almond edge. Together they sit close to the skin and glow rather than project: the kind of dry-down that makes someone lean in and ask what you are wearing, rather than smelling you from across the room.
How Lucid Dream Compares to Fragrance Du Bois Lucius — the Honest Version
Bujairami states the reference itself. It sells this one on its own Australian site under the title “Lucid Dream Inspired By Lucius Fragrance Du Bois”, and files it in an entire “Inspired by Fragrance Du Bois” collection alongside Roselle. That is a manufacturer naming its own target, which beats any reseller percentage.
Lucius is Fragrance Du Bois’ first male-focused release, composed by Jordi Fernandez and sold at Harrods for £320 for 100ml of pure parfum. Its published pyramid runs bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper on top; cedarwood and orange flower in the heart; tonka bean, vetiver and dry amber in the base. Set Lucid Dream against it and all seven of its notes appear in Lucius — the tops and hearts are identical, and both share amber and tonka in the base.
The single real difference is what Lucius has that Lucid Dream does not: vetiver. That one omission matters more than it sounds. Vetiver gives Lucius a drier, earthier landing, a touch of soil beneath the amber. Without it, Lucid Dream lands softer and creamier — cosier rather than crisper. If you have worn Lucius and loved specifically that dry, rooty finish, expect this to read a shade sweeter. Everything before the last stage is the same architecture.
Reviewers also describe Lucius as built around an ambrocenide-style radiance that gives it unusual depth for a simple composition. Whether Lucid Dream reproduces that particular skin-glow is the one thing a note list cannot tell you, and only a side-by-side on your own skin will settle it. What the numbers do settle: £3.20 per ml against 50p here.
Bujairami is an independent, Australian-headquartered perfume house with no affiliation to, licence from, or endorsement by Fragrance Du Bois or any other brand named on this page. Lucid Dream is an inspired-by composition, not a clone or a counterfeit, and we will not describe it as one.
Bujairami Lucid Dream Performance & When To Wear
Lucid Dream is an Extrait de Parfum, and the amber-tonka base is built from persistent materials. UK stockists describe it as long-lasting with a soft, skin-close trail rather than quoting hours, and that matches our own wearing: seven to nine hours, with the citrus gone inside the first hour and the cedar-amber carrying the rest. Projection is deliberately moderate. This is a skin scent after the first hour or two, designed to be discovered rather than announced — which is the whole point of it, not a shortcoming.
This is the most versatile fragrance the house makes. The clean citrus-wood-amber profile works in every season and nearly every setting: office mornings, daytime casual, evenings, dinners. It is the rare bottle that genuinely suits a Monday meeting and a Saturday night without feeling wrong in either. Three to four sprays — it is fresh rather than heavy and takes application well.
Who It’s For & Styling
Lucid Dream is listed as unisex and wears firmly in that territory. The pink pepper and cedarwood give it enough structure to read masculine; the orange blossom and tonka soften it enough to read feminine. It suits anyone who gravitates towards clean, modern, understated fragrances — the sort of person who wears well-cut basics rather than logos. If you have never bought from an inspired-by house before, this is the least risky place to start.
If you like this, look at: Bujairami Tigris is the other everyday option here, drier and more bitter with grapefruit and vetiver; Rizz takes the same spiced-citrus idea and adds cardamom and Java vetiver; Hectic amplifies it with ginger, cinnamon and black tea if you want more projection; and Roselle is the other Fragrance Du Bois reference in the range, at the opposite, darker end. Elsewhere, Khadlaj Shiyaaka Silver covers similar clean-woody ground at £19.99 and Khadlaj Icon adds incense and amber for £29.99.
Price, Size & What You Get
Lucid Dream comes in 100ml only — Bujairami does not make a smaller size. At £49.99 it matches the UK stockists we checked in August 2026 and sits with most of the Bujairami Extrait range: the same price as Tigris, Roselle, Rizz and Legacy, below Hectic at £54.99 and Ya Habibi at £59.99. Against £320 for the same 100ml volume of the fragrance it references, it is a sixth of the cost per millilitre.
Lucid Dream in the Bujairami Perfumes UK Range
Lucid Dream occupies a specific slot in the Bujairami perfumes UK catalogue: the everyday signature. Where Hectic is the energetic crowd-pleaser, Mad Love is the dark evening statement and Roselle is the niche-curious discovery, Lucid Dream is the bottle that sits on the dresser and gets reached for most mornings. Its seven-note simplicity, year-round range and close-wearing character make it the natural daily driver in a collection built around bolder things. If you want one bottle from this house that does everything, this is it — and if you want the opposite, Shadow Script is waiting at the far end.
Tried, Tested, Trusted
Our team has worn and assessed Lucid Dream in real UK conditions — including a bright spring morning in Cheltenham, where the bergamot-mandarin opening lifted cleanly in the cold air before settling into a warm, soapy cedar-amber that wore comfortably through a full working day. Every bottle sold by Khaleej Scents is 100% authentic, sourced from authorised distributors, never refilled or repackaged. Secure checkout, fast dispatch, and free delivery across the UK on every order.
Bujairami Lucid Dream FAQs
What does Bujairami Lucid Dream smell like?
Clean, bright and warm. Pink pepper, bergamot and mandarin open it with a spiced citrus lift; cedarwood and orange blossom make a woody, faintly soapy heart; amber and tonka bean finish it creamy and close to the skin. No oud, no smoke, nothing challenging — it reads as expensive and well-groomed rather than as a statement.
What are the full Bujairami Lucid Dream notes?
As published by Bujairami: top — pink pepper, bergamot, mandarin; heart — cedarwood, orange blossom; base — amber, tonka bean. Seven notes in total, and that same pyramid appears at every legitimate UK stockist we checked.
Is Bujairami Lucid Dream a dupe of Fragrance Du Bois Lucius?
It is an inspired-by interpretation and the brand says so itself, selling it as “Lucid Dream Inspired By Lucius Fragrance Du Bois”. All seven Lucid Dream notes appear in Lucius’ published pyramid; the tops and hearts are identical. The one thing Lucius has that this does not is vetiver, which gives the original a drier, earthier finish. Bujairami has no affiliation with Fragrance Du Bois.
How is it different from Lucius in wear?
Mostly at the end. Without vetiver, Lucid Dream lands creamier and sweeter where Lucius lands drier and rootier. The original is also a pure parfum from a house that grows its own oud and works with perfumer Jordi Fernandez, so expect a difference in material quality and in the radiant skin-glow reviewers single out. Everything up to the dry-down is the same shape.
How long does Bujairami Lucid Dream last?
Seven to nine hours in our testing, with the citrus gone inside the first hour and the amber-tonka base carrying the rest. Stockists describe it as long-lasting with a soft, skin-close trail but do not quote a figure, so we have given ours and labelled it as ours. Projection is moderate by design — this is meant to be a skin scent.
Is Lucid Dream suitable for the office?
Yes, and it is the best option in the Bujairami range for it. Nothing in the composition is loud or divisive, and after the first hour it sits close enough to the skin that it will not carry across a shared room. Three to four sprays is fine; unlike the heavier fragrances in this range, it does not punish a generous hand.
Is Lucid Dream for men or women?
Both. Bujairami lists it as unisex and the composition earns it — pink pepper and cedar give structure, orange blossom and tonka give softness, and neither side wins. Fragrance Du Bois positions Lucius as its first male-focused release, but nothing in this pyramid is gendered.
When should I wear Bujairami Lucid Dream?
Almost any time. It works across all four seasons, is best in spring and autumn, and suits daytime and evening equally. It is the only fragrance in this range we would call genuinely all-purpose. Deep winter is the one setting where you might want something warmer, and that is what Legacy or Ya Habibi are for.
How much is Bujairami Lucid Dream in the UK?
£49.99 for the 100ml Extrait de Parfum at Khaleej Scents, with free UK delivery and no minimum spend. That matches the UK stockists we checked in August 2026. For context, Fragrance Du Bois Lucius is £320 for the same 100ml volume at Harrods.
Note pyramid taken from Bujairami’s own product listing; the inspiration is the manufacturer’s own claim, quoted from its product title rather than estimated by a reseller. Lucius’ notes, perfumer and £320 price are taken from Fragrance Du Bois’ own listing and its Harrods page. Longevity is our own wear-testing and is labelled as such, because no stockist we found quotes a figure for this fragrance. Last reviewed August 2026.
