Louis Vuitton’s Ambre Levant arrived in 2026 and quickly became one of the most talked-about amber-oud launches of the year: spiced mandarin, dry white incense and an animalic oud-ambergris base. It is also from £495 for 100ml on Louis Vuitton’s own UK site.
Bujairami Ya Habibi is built on that brief, and the brand says so plainly: its own listing is titled “Ya Habibi Inspired by Ambre Levant Louis Vuitton”. The note list it publishes matches the seven notes Fragrantica lists for Ambre Levant, tier for tier. That is as strong as paper evidence gets. What paper cannot tell you is how the oud itself compares, and we set that out honestly below.
Ya Habibi is the darkest bottle in the Bujairami range we stock and, at £59.99, the most expensive. It is an evening scent for people who already know they enjoy oud, not a crowd-pleaser.
The Scent Pyramid at a Glance
Eight notes across three tiers, as Bujairami publishes them on its UAE store listing. Fragrantica has no page for Ya Habibi yet, so this is the brand’s own list.
Two notes, no filler. Against cinnamon, mandarin loses its summery brightness and turns darker and jammier, closer to spiced orange peel than fresh juice. It is the most divisive part of the scent and the part that changes fastest, so give it time before you judge.
White incense is dry and papery rather than heavy and churchy, and white pepper adds a fine, prickly edge that stops the sweetness of the opening spreading. Together they are the bridge: the fruit steps back and the resins come forward.
This is why you buy the bottle. Amber gives golden, honeyed warmth; oud brings woody depth with a hint of animalic funk; labdanum adds leathery, resinous sweetness; ambergris adds a salty, skin-like glow that keeps the drydown feeling open rather than merely heavy.
A note on sourcing: several different pyramids for Ya Habibi are circulating online, including a fresh grapefruit-bergamot-ginger version and a generic saffron-rose-jasmine one. Neither matches the brand’s own listing. The list above is Bujairami’s.

How close is it, really? On paper, as close as it gets. On skin, we cannot yet point you to independent reviewers who have compared the two side by side, and matching note lists never guarantee an identical smell. With oud in particular, the quality and proportion of the material is the biggest variable, and none of that shows up on a note list. Expect the same idea, not an indistinguishable copy. Bujairami has no affiliation with Louis Vuitton; we name Ambre Levant (inspired by it, per the brand) only to help you place the scent.
Also worth knowing: reviewers on Fragrantica’s Ambre Levant page are sharply divided about the original’s opening, which many describe as challenging and animalic before it smooths out. That split is part of the design. If that DNA doesn’t suit you, a more affordable interpretation of it won’t either.
