Cream Velvet is Khadlaj’s big-selling caramel gourmand. It opens on warm caramel and butter — patisserie rather than boiled sweets — thickens with honey and tonka, keeps a thread of jasmine in the background, and settles into a soft vanilla, amber and musk base. Cosy, creamy and very easy to like, which is why it is one of the house’s most popular bottles.
It is constantly sold as a budget Giardini di Toscana Bianco Latte, and the note lists do line up: every one of Bianco Latte’s published notes has a counterpart in Cream Velvet. But the reviewer most often cited for the comparison says plainly that it is not an exact dupe, only the same lane, and nobody has published a side-by-side. Matching note lists are not the same as matching scents. Same lane, not a copy.
Why B− and not higher? On paper this is one of the neatest overlaps in the Khadlaj range, and many Fragrantica reviewers call it “very close to Bianco Latte”. But the person most often cited for the comparison says it is not an exact dupe, others find it more buttery or liken it to Lattafa Eclaire instead, and there is no published side-by-side. Giardini di Toscana has no affiliation with Khadlaj. We have not shown a price comparison because we could not verify a UK RRP on the brand’s own site.
Performance — What Wearers Report
With over 1,200 Fragrantica votes there is plenty of data, but it genuinely varies: several reviewers say four to five hours, others eight hours or “all day”. Skin chemistry seems to matter more than usual with this one. The one thing wearers agree on is that it clings to fabric. Sillage is a scent bubble rather than a room-filler; two sprays for close quarters, four for a trail.

- Cold-weather comfort. Autumn and winter suit it; in real heat it turns heavy.
- Some databases describe a different scent. You may see reviews mentioning oud and roses — that appears to be a mis-populated entry. Khadlaj’s own listing and Fragrantica both give the caramel gourmand above.
