Khadlaj Panache Angel Dust — “The Libre Vanille Couture We Never Got”
Mandarin · Vanilla · Redcurrant · Tuberose · Sandalwood · Rum · Whipped Cream · Benzoin · Musk — 100ml Extrait de Parfum, 100% authentic, free UK delivery.
Panache Angel Dust is a vanilla sandwich: vanilla at the top, vanilla again at the base, and in between a juicy mandarin-redcurrant lift, creamy tuberose and a splash of rum. It launched in 2026 and quickly became one of Khadlaj’s most talked-about releases, rated 4.31 out of 5 by more than 600 voters on Fragrantica.
Most of that talk is about YSL. Khadlaj names no inspiration, but reviewers keep placing Angel Dust next to YSL’s Libre Vanille Couture, the limited-edition vanilla flanker. The best description we’ve seen came from one well-known reviewer: “the YSL Libre Vanille Couture we never got”. Our Khadlaj dupes guide grades it B — the same lane, not the same scent.
Below we show exactly where the two overlap, where Angel Dust goes its own way, and how it compares with the other creamy vanillas we stock.
The Scent Pyramid at a Glance
Ten notes across three tiers — vanilla appears twice. Khadlaj’s own listing and Fragrantica agree note for note.
Juicy mandarin and tart redcurrant keep the start bright, with vanilla already there underneath so it never feels thin.
Creamy tuberose, soft sandalwood and a boozy thread of rum. On some skin the tuberose reads louder, even a little soapy, for the first half hour — especially in heat.
Whipped-cream vanilla takes over, warmed by balsamic benzoin and softened by musk. This is the part that earns the “couture vanilla” description.

Angel Dust vs YSL Libre Vanille Couture — Same Lane, Different Route
The two share their backbone: vanilla, rum and a citrus opening. But Libre Vanille Couture keeps Libre’s signature lavender and orange blossom, while Angel Dust swaps those for tuberose, redcurrant and a whipped-cream base. That is why reviewers describe it as a relative rather than a copy.

YSL for the Libre signature. Angel Dust for the vanilla-and-rum mood at a fraction of the price.
What reviewers say. On Fragrantica, Peppy Roni calls it “95% identical” and amariahb says it is “very similar but this is better!”, while birchsoda finds Angel Dust “a softer, more muted version” where Libre is louder. Others hear the broader Libre family, Burberry Goddess or Lattafa Tharwah. The consensus is a close cousin in the same creamy-vanilla lane, which is why we stop at B rather than calling it a clone. Khadlaj has no affiliation with YSL; the comparison is here only to help you place the scent.
Performance — What Wearers Report
Fragrantica reviews are split: some wearers get seven to eight hours or more, others find it fades after four or five. Several owners say a new bottle underperforms and improves after about four weeks of rest. These are reported experiences, not our own measurements.

Good to Know Before You Buy
- Give it an hour. The tuberose can show first and read soapy on some skin before the vanilla settles.
- Let a new bottle rest. Several owners report much better strength after about four weeks.
- Cooler weather suits it. In high heat, the florals can turn sharp.
- Buy from trusted sellers. As a viral release it has attracted fakes; our Khadlaj price and authenticity guide explains what to check.
