Qissat Al Najah translates as “the story of success”, and Nedawi is the warmer, more sensual chapter of that collection. It opens on passion fruit — genuinely juicy and tart rather than a generic sweet-fruit accord — cut with bergamot and edged by a leather note that keeps it from tipping into confectionery. More than one wearer has described the opening as having a nostalgic “scented gel pen” quality, which sounds like an insult and is not meant as one.
The middle is where it earns its price. Oud arrives smooth and ambered rather than animalic or medicinal, softened by rose and given resinous grip by cistus labdanum. It settles onto benzoin, patchouli and musk — warm, balsamic and long-lasting. Released in 2025 and composed by Lucas Sieuzac, it is one of the more thoughtfully constructed things in the Arabiyat Prestige perfumes UK catalogue.
The Scent Profile
Top — passion fruit, bergamot, leather. The passion fruit is the signature and it is unmistakable: bright, tart and slightly sulphurous in the way real passion fruit is. Bergamot adds lift, and the leather accord sits underneath from the first spray, giving the fruit something to push against. It is an attention-grabbing opening.
Heart — oud, rose, cistus labdanum. The oud here is smooth and rounded, used for depth rather than shock. If oud fragrances have previously struck you as harsh or barnyard-like, this is a considerably gentler introduction. Rose lightens it and adds a classical floral warmth; labdanum brings a sticky amber resin that binds the fruit to the wood.
Base — benzoin, patchouli, musk. Balsamic and warm. Benzoin is sweet and resinous, patchouli earthy, musk clean — together they give a dry-down that stays rich without becoming heavy. Wearers consistently report it lasting well.
How Nedawi Compares — the Honest Version
The comparison that actually holds up is Oud Maracujá by Maison Crivelli, and it holds up on paper as well as in wear. Maison Crivelli’s own published note list for Oud Maracujá runs passion fruit accord, saffron, Turkish rose absolute, leather accord, oud accord, benzoin, cistus absolute, patchouli, vanilla and akigalawood. That is about as close as two independently-published pyramids get without being the same brief.
The differences are real, though. Oud Maracujá is a 32% extrait with saffron and vanilla that Nedawi does not have, and it costs roughly £450 for 100ml against £39.99 here — more than eleven times the price per millilitre. Wearers who know both describe Nedawi as smoother, sweeter and less abrasive, more crowd-pleasing and marginally more feminine. Expect a strong family resemblance rather than a swap.
One claim we are not going to repeat. You will find listings describing Nedawi as inspired by Rouge Chaotique by Byredo. We could not substantiate it: Arabiyat Prestige makes no inspired-by claim of any kind on its own product page, and Byredo’s published notes for Rouge Chaotique — bergamot, lemon, saffron, cassis, plum, praline, oakwood, papyrus, patchouli — contain neither passion fruit nor oud, the two materials that define Nedawi. Whatever the origin of that comparison, the pyramids do not support it, so we have left it out of our positioning.

Qissat Al Najah Nedawi Performance & When To Wear
This is one of the stronger performers in the range. Wearers describe it as loud but wearable, with a substantial trail and around seven hours of wear reported by retailers — though as always we would treat any single hour figure as indicative rather than a promise. The resinous benzoin-patchouli base is the sort of construction that lasts, and the reports are consistent with that.
It works across seasons better than most oud compositions, because the fruit keeps it from being purely heavy. Autumn and winter suit it best and evenings show it off, but a cooler spring day would carry it comfortably. Apply with restraint — this is not a fragrance that needs help projecting, and one spray is the right dose for a shared office.
Who It’s For & Styling
Nedawi suits someone curious about oud but put off by the traditional version of it. The fruit does a lot of work here, making the wood approachable without making it trivial, and the result is genuinely unisex — leather and oud on one side, passion fruit and rose on the other, with neither winning outright. Reviewers describe it as marginally more feminine in wear.
Two sprays is plenty. It does not need layering and will overwhelm anything you put it with.
