The Khadlaj Shiyaaka Range Explained | Snow, Shadow, Silver & More

Shiyaaka is Khadlaj’s longest-running masculine line and its most confusing. There are eight variants, two completely different price tiers, one fragrance that goes by two names, and at least one “variant” that does not exist. This guide sorts it out. Browse what we currently stock on our Khadlaj Perfumes page.

A note up front: we stock three of the eight — Shiyaaka Silver from the core range, and Shiyaaka Shadow and Shiyaaka Snow from the Special Edition tier. The information online about this line is a mess and the questions keep coming, so this guide covers all eight variants regardless of what we sell — including the ones we do not, where we have flagged what to buy from our range instead. Our ranked Khadlaj list covers the wider house.

The Two Tiers

This is the single most useful thing to understand about Shiyaaka:

  • Core range — Silver, White, Blue, Gold, Rose Gold. Older releases, simpler bottles, entry pricing. This is where the line started.
  • Special Edition — Snow, Shadow, Sky. Released 2025–2026, roughly double the price, heavier bottles, and openly positioned against current designer releases.

If a listing shows a big price gap between two Shiyaakas, that is why. They are not the same product family in anything but name — and the gap is real at our end too: Silver is £19.99, while Shadow and Snow are £29.99 each. For where the whole house sits on price, see our Khadlaj perfume price guide.

Two housekeeping points. “Shiyaaka Red” does not exist — it appears in one marketplace URL that actually sells Silver. And Shiyaaka Rose Gold has quietly disappeared from Khadlaj’s own collection page while remaining widely available at retail, which usually means it is being rotated out.

Shiyaaka Silver — the one worth knowing about

Silver and “Shiyaaka for Men” are the same juice. Khadlaj’s own product page is titled one way and describes the product the other way, and retailers use both names interchangeably. This is the original masculine of the line, not a flanker, and Fragrantica rates it 4.24 out of 5 from 1,592 votes (October 2026). We stock it at £19.99 for 100ml.

Petitgrain, rosemary and pepper on top, a creamy powdery heart of neroli, orris root and jasmine, then a dry cedar, vetiver and patchouli drydown. Fragrantica wearers report a wide range, roughly four to nine hours, with soft to moderate projection before it becomes a skin scent. Explicitly office- and interview-appropriate.

It is most often compared to Amouage Reflection Man, and the published note lists overlap heavily, but reviewers are split on how close it smells. On Fragrantica, ScottyFrags calls it “the EXACT same juice”; A’kubu finds the opening quite different, with the Khadlaj flatter and sweeter and the likeness showing in the drydown; and Newtype0085 says it stopped impressing him once he tried Reflection Man. Drydown closer than opening, reviewers divided: that is why our dupes guide grades it B−.

One caveat we will not hide: the substantive long-form review coverage for Silver is thinner than the rating count suggests, and the Reflection Man comparison rests on a small number of detailed voices. Treat it as plausible and well-argued rather than settled. Full notes, performance data and FAQs on the Shiyaaka Silver product page →

Shiyaaka Shadow — the strongest of the new tier

Shadow is pink pepper, grapefruit and lavender over dry amber, cedarwood and cashmere wood, finishing on musk, patchouli and moss. Fresh and prickly for the first half hour, then dark, earthy and grounded. Six to eight hours with moderate projection, rated around 6.5 out of 10 for projection. Autumn and winter are its home, and it is versatile enough for office through to evening if you go light. We stock it at £29.99 for 100ml.

It is compared to Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt, and this claim is unusually well-supported: a community clone database rates it 90% “near identical” from two independent sources with three separate citations, with the most precise version of the claim pointing at Bad Boy Cobalt Elixir specifically. Wearers describe it as sitting on the Bad Boy Cobalt / Invictus Platinum DNA. Notably, its community rating on that platform sits above the original’s — 4.36 from 688 ratings against 4.04 from 1,664.

One sourcing warning specific to this fragrance: the most widely-linked database entry for “Shiyaaka Shadow” is a mismatched record. It shows a 2016 launch and lists saffron and sandalwood, neither of which appears in Khadlaj’s own pyramid. Shadow is a 2025 release. Ignore that entry. Shiyaaka Snow — the bright one

Snow is mandarin, citrus and bergamot over neroli, nutmeg and pink pepper, into Indonesian vetiver and cardamom. Bright, luminous and grounded by an earthy base — a spring and summer daytime scent rather than an evening one. We stock it at £29.99 for 100ml.

It is widely framed as a Louis Vuitton Météore clone and the note structure genuinely supports that. When we first wrote this guide we could find no published comparison from anyone who had tested both; that has since changed. A 2026 written review and several video comparisons now put the two side by side, and the consistent finding is that the Louis Vuitton citrus is more natural and higher-definition and holds its sparkle further into the wear, while Snow opens slightly sweeter and simpler, its spice sits a little louder, and it drops into the cardamom-vetiver base sooner. So the comparison is real but it is an interpretation, not a mirror image — and Khadlaj has no affiliation with Louis Vuitton.

Performance is the honest weak point: roughly four to six hours with soft, close projection after an energetic first hour. Retailer listings claiming six to eight hours are optimistic. That is normal for a citrus-led EDP, and the vetiver base is what buys it the later hours. Full notes, performance data and FAQs on the Shiyaaka Snow product page →

Silver, Shadow or Snow — Which Should You Buy?

These are the three we stock, and they are genuinely different propositions rather than flankers of each other.

What About the Rest?

Shiyaaka White is a fruity-saffron-amber floral. One clickbait article asks whether it is a Chloé dupe; its actual structure — orange, red fruits, saffron, incense, jasmine, rose, cashmere, labdanum, musk, vanilla — does not support that at all. Blue is a straightforward citrus-lavender-amber fougère. Gold is a floral-fruity-green for women with only category-level notes published. Rose Gold is a soft frangipani-peony floral approximating Burberry Her; one reviewer calls it “artificial but not in an unpleasant way” and criticises the bottle as plasticky. Sky is the newest and most expensive — bergamot, mandarin and verbena over neroli and orange blossom, into ambroxan, vetiver, musk and sandalwood — with nothing established about it yet.

Also worth knowing: several major database entries for Shiyaaka variants are mismatched records — one lists a 1974 launch date, another a 2016 one with completely wrong notes, another redirects to an unrelated body spray. If a Shiyaaka page shows a launch year before 2019, you are reading the wrong record.

What to Buy From Our Range

FAQs

How many Shiyaaka variants are there? Eight: Silver, White, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold in the core range, and Snow, Shadow and Sky in the Special Edition tier. “Shiyaaka Red” is not a real product.

Are Shiyaaka Silver and Shiyaaka for Men the same? Yes — the same fragrance under two names. Khadlaj uses both on its own pages. See the Shiyaaka Silver page for the full breakdown.

Which Shiyaaka is best? Silver for value and versatility, Shadow for the newer, richer, best-evidenced clone, and Snow if you specifically want a bright citrus daytime scent. All three are in stock.

What is Shiyaaka Silver a dupe of? Amouage Reflection Man, though reviewers are split: some call it the same juice, others say the opening is quite different and the likeness only shows in the drydown, and at least one prefers the Amouage outright. We grade it B−.

What is Shiyaaka Shadow a dupe of? Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt — specifically the Elixir, per the most precise version of the claim. A clone database rates it 90% “near identical” from two verified sources, and Shadow’s own community rating (4.36 from 688) sits above the original’s (4.04 from 1,664).

What is Shiyaaka Snow a dupe of? It is widely described as a Louis Vuitton Météore clone and the note structure fits. Published side-by-side comparisons now exist and broadly agree: the Louis Vuitton is the more natural and longer-sparkling citrus, while Snow is sweeter and simpler up front and settles into its base sooner. An interpretation rather than a copy.

Is Shiyaaka Shadow a summer or winter fragrance? Autumn and winter. The dry amber, patchouli and moss base gives it weight that suits cold air and evenings, though the grapefruit-and-pepper opening keeps it wearable on cool spring days. Snow is the summer bottle in this line.

How much are they in the UK? At Khaleej Scents, Silver is £19.99 and Shadow and Snow are £29.99 each for 100ml, all with free UK delivery. Across UK stockists Silver runs about £15–£28, Shadow about £26–£39 and Snow about £18–£39.

Why do Shiyaaka prices vary so much? Because the line spans two tiers. The core range is entry-priced; the 2025–2026 Special Editions cost roughly double and come in heavier bottles.

Written by Shaheen Shah Abrar for Khaleej Scents, July 2026. Updated August 2026 to reflect that we now stock Shiyaaka Silver, Shadow and Snow, and that published side-by-side comparisons with Louis Vuitton Météore have since appeared. Note pyramids are taken from Khadlaj’s own listings and cross-checked against independent databases; several widely-cited database entries for this line are mismatched records — including the most-linked entry for Shiyaaka Shadow — and have been excluded. Rating and dupe-accuracy figures are community scores from citation-backed databases at the time of writing. Where a comparison rests on thin evidence we have said so instead of presenting it as consensus.
